From the moment we saw the raw slab in Menlo Hardwoods we knew we'd found the perfect table for our home. Since the table was being made from a new slab, we also knew that it would take time. Throughout the process we worked closely with George Bazlamit, who answered every anxious question and assured us we'd made the right choice. I have to say, we are more delighted with this amazing piece of art and furniture than we ever thought we could be. It is thoughtful and perfect.

Came to Menlo Hardwoods to work George and his team for help on a space we were struggling to find a good piece for. He helped us work through the designs, pick out the wood and finishes, and ultimately built us a beautiful live edge shelf that fits the space perfectly. The construction quality is top notch with the iron work being super clean and precise. The finish and feel of the piece is exactly what we envisioned. Very happy with the process and the end result. Only thing I would have liked was a few in progress pics along the way, but other than that it was a great experience.

George from Menlo HW was great to work with and was able to come up with a great solution to my dinning room table leg problem. The old legs were too big and too low. These new metal legs are awesome.

Just walk into the shop...and prepare to be amazed!
We couldn't be more happy with all of our purchases over the years, but when we had our tables customized, we were over the moon. Every time I pass them, I stop to appreciate how beautiful they are!

Menlo Hardwoods built a custom dining table for us, and we were delighted with the end product. George and his team took the time to explain all the different options available, the characteristics of each wood, etc. and were very patient with us while we were making up our minds. Highly recommended if you're looking for a special piece of wood furniture!

I don't usually take the time to write reviews. However, Menlo Hardwoods in Menlo Park is a wonderfully unique privately owned furniture store that should be noticed. The owners hand craft all the furniture you see in the store themselves. The natural beauty of the wood shines through every piece of furniture they have. Each piece is a one of a kind conversation piece. You can go into the store and purchase something off the floor and take it home Or you can design your own custom hardwood piece of furniture with the owners and they will create it for you!. The owners are not only talented craftsmen but they are friendly and easy to work with. If you're in need of furniture, I recommend you stop in and discuss what you're looking for with the either George or Mike. I think you'll be pleased you did. I am very happy I did.

I love Menlo Hardwoods. As an owner of a Craftsman house, I found it hard to get contemporary furniture to fit the style and ambiance I wanted to create. I wish I had known about this place sooner because this is where to find the true thing. George and co. do beautiful work and have some very original pieces. They're also very friendly. Highly recommend!

Wonderful store with tons of natural, whole-wood modern designs from tables to chairs and benches, wall art and more. They can make custom pieces, and their design aesthetic is quite good. Beyond wood statement pieces, they have little home design knicknacks, candles, and the like. Love this place. NB, it's pricey. A table can run $7,500+depending on the material and size.
