This is my moms favorite store. She loves walking all the way across town to get her ingredients for incredible food. Amazing prices and great people working there. Very helpful.

It’s not the store itself but the employee. I was entering the parking lot by the laundromat and planned to turn right to park under a shady tree next to the bank. I slowed down, but as soon as I did, the car behind me started speeding up to go around me. While I was turning into the parking spot, he almost caused an accident. Luckily, I was quick enough to hit the brakes. He then stopped his car and looked at me like I was the problem, even though it was clearly his fault. He went on to park right in front of El Rey, and that’s when people around me mentioned that he’s an employee.

I don’t know what his problem was or why he would make such a careless move. I can tell he’s not careful with his car—just look at the picture I’ll post. I take care of my things and don’t cause accidents, but he put everyone in danger. I think you should address this with him. I’m not sure if he was late to work or just frustrated, but it’s not worth putting people’s lives at risk or causing an accident because I was driving a little slower. He needs to relax—other people are on the road too.

I love this place. Small market with fresh produce. The butchers here are always so helpful. Sometimes they don’t have the cut of meat I’m looking for, but I tell them what I’m making and they’ll tell me what to get. They haven’t steered me wrong. Totally nice people that work here. Prices are going to be lower than larger stores. The civiche and salsas are all really good and fresh. The parking can be a bit difficult at times… but worth it.

Very good prices for fruits and vegetables. Fresh masa every day. Friendly employees , all bi-lingual so you can ask any questions. Tortillas also good and fresh. Parking a little tighter, but plenty of parking.

My first visit there. The fruits were not fresh, the veggies were ok. Meats selection is impressive but prices are very average. The place overall is very crowded with many boxes blocking islands. Felt trapped in very narrow and dark store. Overall is ok.

Walked in for the 1st time ever today, this market is gorgeous, clean & stocked up which is so rare right now. Its times like these I appreciate independent markets that dont look wiped out like major chains. I was in awe of all the selections. Will be shopping here without stress levels kicking up. I don’t understand why but every single time I go shopping here there is a problem from rude customer service by the female cashiers to the meat counter Serving and selling spoiled meat to over selling of meat if you ask for a pound of meat they give you a pound and a helf or sometimes even more and if you complain to the shift manager they give you bad attitude and try to argue with you it’s sad because i used to go out my way to shop here and would strongly recommend this place I’m even considering legal action about the spoiled meat I have gathered a few customers with the same complains this is a warning a wake up Update this place keeps getting more awful this update is about the tortillas the most awful management I have witnessed they are repackaging tortillas from another brands and selling them as el toro brand so they can up charge customers I don’t understand why the city hasn’t come and shut down this business I will be emailing el toro owners and tell them that El ray is using there logo to sell an inferior product and claiming it’s by them
