We have decided on a last minute trip and Hampton Inn was full and so we found this place. I have a 4 year old son that has super bad allergies to dust so i was worried on going there but we decided to give it a try. I GOTTA say I was very pleased. Before arriving I have asked the front desk to wipe down the room for us and before we got there the ladies cleaned the hell out of it which was very nice of them. The front desk was very very nice and accommodating. The room was super clean and cozy. The place is 6 minutes from Beltsville Lake which was perfect. Yes it's little outdated but I tell you what next time I'll be calling this place before any other. The best part.....of course the price! Can't beat it. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed here recently because the hotels just off the exit were booked that we normally stay in. I'm not typically to hard on hometown motels as everyone needs a place to stay in a pinch & the motel needs to make a living too so we read the awesome reviews, and thought ok, lets give it a try. We no sooner got there & noticed two cars flying in the parking lot, guy & girl, guy checked in, they both pulled in front of their room with both their cars, their cars weren't there when we returned that night. Clearly this motel rents by the hr. Something tells me people rent it by the hour ALOT. We checked in late afternoon/early evening and had to get to our concert so we weren't there long after we checked in, just a few mins. Once we got back and settled into our room very late that evening we found this (see pics). Plus the comforter had cigarette burns on it. Plus I saw hairs on the towels. Please be aware of these things and get new sheets and comforters & please make sure you clean the rooms after your hourly guests and regular guests. It just seemed to me that someone had slept on this bed. I'm not saying the rest of the place is dirty, but lets just say I refused to take a shower there because I just wasn't sure. I do not recommend this place for families with children. Just seems somewhat of a shady environment from my observations the short amount of time we were there. When we checked out, no one greeted us, so we couldn't even complain. I surely don't have the desire to stay here again. Sorry for the bad review because I try to give everyone a chance, and I feel this place would be a quaint little motel if you would keep up with it and update for the regular guests that are traveling through. We told people at the restaurant where we were staying and everyone we talked to confirmed our suspicions that it is not the kind of place we should be staying at. I felt embarrassed to be staying there. I feel the previous reviews are from people that may be actually living there in the rooms? I'm not saying the owners are bad for allowing this, I feel sorry for them they feel the need to rent to people for an hour. You get what you ask for, if you business isn't doing well, then I would re-think the way you are doing things and make a change so you can get better guests in there. We love going to that area and go there a lot. Had this been a great experience, we surely would have stayed there again and supported the local motel.

I was visiting relatives in the area during the last weekend in October, and made a reservation in advance. I stayed three nights at Mooney's in a clean, quite nonsmoking room that had been remodeled recently. The Motel offers free cable TV and hot coffee in the mornings, and each room has a fridge. This Motel is a great place to stay for folks who aren't concerned about getting a lot more amenities. The place isn't luxurious, but it is well maintained and the folks who work there are very friendly and accommodating. I had no complaints.

We needed a bed for the night. Check in was pleasant. The decor was straight out of the 70s but amazingly clean. Comfortable. Nice TV & fridge. Powerful AC. For $55 after tax you really can't beat it.

I have stayed here on several occasions and find the place wonderfully cozy. It is an older motel and originally built next to what was the main highway years ago. It has been a family run business for three or four generations. The rooms have real wood panel strips and for the age are well maintained and clean. The decor is right out of the 60's and 70's and reminds you of the old roadside hotels at their prime. With one exception, out of numerous stays, I have always found the rooms clean. The price is more than reasonable at $55 during the week and $59 on weekends for the average room; more for the rooms with two or more beds. The current owner is upgrading where he can. Only drawback is they need to get better pillows and larger towels.

Omg! Nice people but...old, dark and dingy. Bed was the worst I've ever seen. No screen in windows. Very old decor. Once heat starts, it never stops! Slept with the windows open on a below freezing night. But the tv worked well!
