The best farmers market around. There are countless stands that will provide you with pretty mucheverything you could want throughout most of the year. (It does get a little sparse around winter.)

Some stands specialize in organic fruits (peaches, plums, nectarines, apples, grapes) and others have a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. There are even stands that sell meats, breads, and very fresh seafood.

Great market with a wide range of veggies, fruit, and prepared food. Some of my favorite stands are Bill Bob's apples, Castro Farms veggies, and the sisters who sell loose eggs, aka pick your dozen.

This is one of the best FMs in the world IMHO! I've been to a lot of FM in other countries and cities in the US and I have gotta say this one takes the cake. So many options, great pastry spots (The Adorable French Bakery is THE BEST!), and super friendly people all around. Parking is easy if you're willing /able to walk, if not, it can get tough after 10am. Enjoy!

When there's a game, this is where the foods at. All the sustainably sourced fruits and veggies and nuts you could want, from vendors here in CA, run by members of our community. It's the best natural food with a friendly face! Highly recommend the Quiches from Adorable French Bakery, the Piroshky from the Ukrainian folks, and don't forget bags! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BICICLYING here if you can, as parking is absolutely awful, if it's even possible. It can be a wonderful Sunday ride, and it's CA, so it's usually a beautiful day!

This is one of the best Farmer's Markets in the bay area. Lots of varieties and the fruits and veggies are always super fresh. The patrons are polite and I never feel the need to "fight" anyone over produce.

In addition, there are plenty of food stands and the vendors are very generous with their samples.

Minus 1 star for the high prices (compared to grocerey stores). But do keep in mind that everything is organic and likely worth every penny!

And no dogs allowed =(

Mountain view farmers market is amazaing, great produce, prices are little bit steep compared to Fremont where we used to go, but variety and quality are great.
I'm not a big fan of the alternative location in Bryant street mainly due to the shop locations, I know my may in at the regular spot and in and out would be tops 30-45 min. But the new location I tend to go around twice to spot my usual stores. But all in all great market for fresh produce.

Great place to shop for locally made groceries. Highlights include getting free samples before committing to purchase, fresh bread, fresh milk, friendly people.

There are three places to definitely check out if you go.
1. Midwife and the baker. Solid bread. Try the chocolate sourdough
2. Acme bread. Bay area well known bakers. More solid bread
3. There's this fruit farm stand..I forget the name of the place, but there's a super friendly guy handing out fruits left and right with a 2.50$ per lb mix/match fruit deal in the summer.

As an out-of-towner was a bit surprised not to find the market in the usual location just before Christmas, but the full parking lot and football fans arriving in droves at the Cal Train station gave me a big clue. It took a bit of effort but was happy to find the market in the alternate location, but was glad to have a chance to shop. This market is awesome, even in winter! I found everything we needed for our Christmas feast. 4 stars only because the layout is not as good as in the bigger spot.
