New to the area; first time in this market place. Was dropping off a subwoofer that I am no longer using at the Goodwill dropoff location. Nadine's is next door and I mistakenly used the door to her store. Wow! what a mistake. I suppose this happens quite often or maybe I don't pay enough attention but Nadine or her employee(?) was very put out that I would mistake her store for the Goodwill. She looked and acted very disgusted. Sorry Nadine, for the inconvenience. Not that it makes any difference, but my wife will probably not be shopping at your store because of my experience. Also I'll be sure to tell all of our friends about my short experience at your store.

As part of my Christmas my husband gave me a $400 gift certificate from Nadine's. I was thrilled, as I am new to Oro Valley and had been in Nadine's once and liked what I saw.

Well, today I decided to use my certificate. I found a few things and began to check out. I asked if I could have the shop-like hangers the clothes were on and was told no. Sue said she would put them on other hangers. She proceeded to put my $110 top on a hanger that looked like the one that one would find in Target or Walmart!

The total of my purchases came to $403.45, so I pulled out my credit card to cover the overage and was told that I could not use a credit card, unless the total was over $30. Now, remember...I had just given her a $400 certificate that my husband had purchased a couple weeks prior. The store had had our $400 for at least two weeks! Well, I had no cash, check, or ATM card with me, so I was forced to go all the way back home to get cash from my husband to pay for the overage of $3.45! Great customer service!

If Nadine's wants to appear as an upscale clothing boutique and expect to keep new customers, they better quit being so chintzy and start giving better service. Put your customers' "quality clothing" on 25 cent hangers, instead of Walmart quality ones. And, when a customer is in a pinch, fork over a meazly $3.45 to a customer who might come back again and spend another $400+, instead of forcing her to go back home to get the $3.45, because you won't let her use her credit card for $3.45!

Do you think I'll go back to Nadine's? Probably not. I prefer boutiques where my business is valued and I am treated with better customer service.

I went to Nadine's and bought several things for an upcoming trip on a Thursday, spending $661.59. Both the sales person, and the owner Nadine, kept bringing me things and encouraging my purchase. I returned on the following Tuesday (they were closed both Sunday and Monday) to bring back an item that was mis-sized and was told "no refunds....store credit only". While I was never told that at the time of my rather large purchase...I accepted it. I then found out that EVERYTHING that I had purchased had been marked down the DAY AFTER I WAS THERE by 30%. I was again told "Sorry" but this time told "there is nothing I can do for you". This is shoddy business at best, and borders on fraudulent. Unless you LOVE, LOVE, LOVE something, and are 100% sure that you want to keep it...AND are OK with paying 25 - 60% MORE than you might have to in a day or two, DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!

In response to the owner's comments below my review...there are certainly lies going on here, but not on my part. Yes, I began the experience by saying that I was looking around and did not need help, but once I began to choose items, they began the "pitch". and , yes, I allowed it. Agreed, I did not try items on, but only returned one item - I am very clear on my size. This is why I said that I "accepted" the fact that store credit was all that is offered, although I had not been told this in advance. All BUT one of the items that I purchased were marked down to some degree when I returned to the store a few days later. Since all were summer items, I would assume that the owner was pretty clear that these items were going to be marked down. Regardless, there should have been some concession when the customer returns within such a short time of purchase vs. mark down. Virtually all reputable retail outlets have such a policy. I am very sorry that an almost $700 purchase is not considered large by Nadine's standards. It is large to me, but she clearly can do business however she wishes, since I am "small potatoes" . And finally, you bet I have a "chip on my shoulder"! I am not a fan of poor business practices and detest "Spin".

I visited this boutique last week. I found so many items that I truly loved. I bought 4 and I truly like them. I live in San Tan Valley with limited shopping. Nadine's is a great place to find clothing not found in my area.

Love the clothing line but especially the one on one expert advice from Sue and Nadine. They make you feel comfortable and will be honest about what does and does not look good on you.
