Backwoodsy roadstop between Mendocino and Boonville on Highway 128. Solid barbaque here, and all the standard snacks, drinks, beer and amenities you'd expect at a gas stop these days. Apparently this place has had some live music in the past, the photo wall had Eric Burdon of The Animals from a show years ago. Some grounds to wander around and explore with some double-take wood carved statues.

Did not go into the store. Restrooms were located to the left of propane tank. They were just two nasty portapottys and the sink thing outside has very little water in it.

Small convenience stop along the highway with some delicious smelling food in the attached restaurant. Just wanted to give a shout out to the young, friendly staff that helped me out with directions when my family got a little turned around on our way back down the coast. I may have lost some time but they saved me a bunch more!

My wife and I stopped here in between wine tastings to grab some food and we were not disappointed. Restaurants are scarce in Anderson Valley but this little general store fills in the gap nicely. My Dutch Crunch sandwich was very good and my wife had a fresh Bison burger cooked on the outdoor grill. BBQ and sandwich deli food might not be for everyone but if you like those things then it's definitely for you.
