Great place to pick up nicer brand name clothing for an affordable price. There are so many items to look through, but it's well organized. The check out line can get a bit long, but it's worth it for the savings.

This store is very large. There are huge parking lots on all sides of the building, so finding a spot is never a problem. Wheelchair accessible parking right out front.

Well stocked Rack, just like the others throughout the county. Staff are friendly and approachable with questions about merchandise. Check out process is quick and easy most days. Plenty of parking in the area, easy to get in and out of the mall. Will likely return to shop for good Nordstrom deals if in the area. A bit out of the way from the freeway but worth the extra miles to get to the store.

I experienced the worst customer service I have ever experienced in your store today 1-25-2025. I bought lots of stuff at your store on 1-21-2025 and spent $643.96 on that day . I purchased one perfume set that day, but the check out clerk did not tell me all perfume are final sale , neither the rack that placed perfume did not have the sign saying final sale , the check out clerk told me 30 days refund policy if I have receipt (I asked her what is your refund policy because I have not been in Nordstrom rack store to shop for years) . I found a cheaper price online at fragrance.net for this perfume set $20 cheaper on the night of 1-21-2025, so I bought one online at fragrance.net and got ready to return the perfume set to Nordstrom rack later. When I returned to Nordstrom rack this morning on 1-25-2025 at Carmel mountain plaza rack at 11940 Carmel mountain road , ate 100, San Diego , Ca 92128, the clerk , the manager , the higher manager told me I can’t return the perfume set . I was in shock and she insisted to give me store credit instead of giving me the refund . I told them when I bought this , the check out clerk did not tell me no return for perfume set. I was forced to take the store credit for returning the perfume set . I was very upset and angry and I went home to get most of the items I bought at this store on 1-21-2025 and want to return them back to this store . I came back this afternoon and wanted to return one of the item , one shoe , $249.97, they told me I can’t return it because the tag on the shoe bottom was worn out , they can only give me the store credit instead, I never worn this shoe out since I bought it and I did not notice the tag on the shoe was worn out when I bought it . There is the other price tag inside the shoe , so when I bought it , the check out clerk can scan the price . I felt so cheated by this store. I was so pissed and so angry . I told the manager I don’t want store credit because I will not come back to this store again because it’s the worst customer service I have ever experienced for 30 years in U.S. the clerk today even told me I should not buy this shoe if the condition was not good . I bought this shoe at that time because the price dropped to $249 from $499, yes , it was dirty at that time , but I thought I could return it later if I decided not to keep it Within 30 days with the receipt and with the price tag is on. But it turn out like this , I could not return it , only could get store credit . I ended taking the $249 shoe away without returning it at this store. What a frustrating experience I have ever experienced. I will report to Nordstrom.com customer service survey as well

Decent place to get good clothes but there's always some sort of issue with the fitting room. Last visit my fiancee hit her head on a clothing rack due to a poorly placed chair outside of the fitting rooms. You people are lucky she wasn't seriously injured or else we'd have a lawsuit going.

I've often seen fitting room staff be short and argumentative with customers over menial issues. Those staff members either need to be retrained or replaced entirely.

I don't live nearby, so it is rare for me to visit this store, but in the three times (all separate and months apart) I've been here, the staff seem to be rather rude.

The first time I visited, it was to make a return for shoes that were simply tried on by my mum. The cashier at the store gave me a dirty look, which I thought was completely unnecessary as this was my first time at the location; it wasn't like I frequently made returns 😅

The two other times, I wanted to get perfumes that were locked in security. The staff seemed annoyed just to do their jobs. It's weird because the Marshalls and other shops nearby are so friendly; it's only ever Nordstrom Rack employees that act like this.

The store was overall clean and had lots of options. I don't mind coming there, but I can see why the staff may change the experience

Worst customer experience ever with the store manager Megan extremely rude and dismissive while making a return. I shop quite frequently at Nordstrom Rack but will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Worst experience with customer service. Megan the store manager at Nordstrom Rack store in Carmel mountain, San Diego.
She was so rude talking to me and not in a nice way. She didn’t help answering any question I have asked for and she did not want to assist me to find what I was looking for.
I wish I could not give her star.
