Wow, we rode bikes to this joint and we didn’t want to get back on the trail! So much great food. Wood fire pizza oven is wonderful, tables and seating outside was great with today’s weather. 2 we ordered sandwiches from inside and they were really good, the bread is so good. Places to secure your bikes or park your cars, restrooms as well. The desserts here are really good too.

I absolutely love every single little thing about this place. They have an amazing unique selection of pretty much anything you can think of, or want as far as spices, wines, cooking oils etc. The baked goods and sandwiches are out of this world. They constantly have freshly baked cookies coming out of the oven. And the staff is beyond helpful and kind. I got a frozen rosè, a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie, and a fried chicken sandwich. All of which I would order any day of the week, again and again. I added arugula to my fried chicken sandwich, and lavendar and pistachio macroon, and It was just truly incredible.

5 days in Napa! Oakville Grocery was fun! Crowded as you’d expect during lunch and despite that is laid out for efficient and, actually, fast operation. Outside seating is varied and enjoyable. Get a driver!

Oakville Grocery is a Napa gem! Apparently it's the oldest continually operating grocery store in California, and I do love some California history. They offer bakery items, deli style food, gourmet grocery/pantry items, and lots & lots of wine!

We stopped for a casual lunch on our way to a wine tasting, and it was the perfect choice. We enjoyed a BLTA deli sandwich and a small serving of Greek salad under an umbrella on the patio. There was ice water available in a self-serve dispenser. There's no inside seating, so finding shade was imperative on this particularly warm day.

We walked through the Oakville Wine Merchant next door, and this two story library of wine with an ornate chandelier was pretty neat to see. They have a wall of self-serve wine... you can pick "tastes" or full glasses. We didn't stay for that, but it looked kind of fun.

A lot of Napa is really boujee, there's a "quiet luxury" vibe that can be intimidating to outsiders. Aside from the price tag (i.e. $20 deli sandwich) Oakville Grocery felt comfortable and welcoming to all, which I appreciated. The food was really good, too!

There was the most sweet and polite lady at the wine tasting room she was amazing ? I love the experience of pouring my own wine. At the Deli, I had the most delicious brie and ham sandwich with caramel apple they got so many choices of great stuff. On the other hand, the orieltal mature women at the coffee shop was so rude.

If you are looking for a place just to stop in and buy some charcuterie, amazing sandwiches and salads, wine, coffee/latte, or pastries, this is absolutely the place! Being the oldest grocery store in California, it boasts over 100 wines that you can taste via a pour machine that will dispense the chosen wine and serving size (a tasting, small glass or larger glass). You can walk up to the machine and fill your own glass however you'd like. This store is also popular and known for their AMAZING sandwiches!! You can sit outside at a table, under an umbrella, and enjoy your food and wine. They also sell sweet treats and non-alcohol beverages. It is a great store, worth stopping by and taking a look around. ?
