I’ve lived in the area for 6 years now and have been a shopper at Jays for a good while. On 1/15/25 I was stopped in the parking lot by the security who accused me of stealing when I had one item of laundry detergent I had just bought from one of the local laundromats nearby.I was calm and told him to call the manager. My partner saw the commotion and quickly shut down the security and manager because at the end, the whole situation was unnecessary and extremely unprofessional. I received no apology as well.

The products / price are decent over here. The only bad thing is the security discriminates skin colored people . He’s a male Latino security in his 40s who follows you around the market. Very bad security guard . Doesn’t follow simple instructions as a security guard they need hire some who actually follows regulations as valid guard card security in the state of California.

Bought the Salsa Mexicana here. Freshly made, no additives. It was peppery, smokey, flavorful and packed with a punch. They also have tons of dried spices and a wide variety of fresh peppers. Produce are fresh.

Rude, unprofessional, impatient ,low quality, dirty, short handed staff, long extreme waits, and sell spoiled meat. Their prices are too high. Especially for such low quality meat.

It's gross. I've only bought their meat twice. Won't do it again.

I would come here every other day. 2 min walk. But today I decided to not come back to this store. It's not worth it. Ralph's is right down the street. Much better quality and wider selection and service.

This store does the bare minimum.

I visited the market and it was a truly underwhelming experience. The aisles were disorganized and messy, making it difficult to find what I needed (some products seemed out of stock). The cashiers seemed disinterested and unhelpful, with many of them chatting among themselves instead of assisting customers. Only a few workers make a difference with their friendly treatment (only one of them understands and speaks fluently english).

To make matters worse, the checkout process was slow and inefficient, with only one lane opened, the manager didn't seem to care when I told him they should've opened another lane.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my visit to this grocery store and will not be returning anytime soon. I would recommend looking elsewhere for your grocery needs to avoid the hassle and frustration of shopping at this poorly run establishment.

Nice little grocery store to grab a few items that you're missing I wouldn't say walk in there with a full EBT card and go off because they are a little expensive. But good for odds and ends be careful of the agent security guard he's always staring at children

A little pricey but convenient, very clean and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. If you need eggs, they have tons, run before they sell out like Ralph's did!
