I was disappointed with my small business Saturday local shopping trip. Went in to get a couple of things, had asked if they accepted card or cash lady was rude and nasty said there is a sign on the door that says cash only which I didn’t see. I told her we would be back with smaller bills. Did some other shopping came back around 1:35 to the doors locked people still inside shopping and she wouldn’t let us in. Sign on the door said open until 2pm. 3-4 other groups of people stopped by as well and were surprised to see the doors locked. This place is ran by Wayne Memorial Hospital you would think that a business like that would be open until the closing time. After reviewing other people’s reviews it seems like we were not the only one who was affected by this.

Would not accept a 50.. Cash only. Left and returned later that day with smaller bills. store closed at 2pm door was locked at 1.40pm and lady would not let us in. Lady quite rude aswell

Nastiest women ever working the cash register. My wife and I come to Honesdale every weekend and the interaction between us and the employee was the worst ever. My wife is handicapped and we walked in with our 4 lb service dog. Mind you not on a leash or anything but in my arms. Not even a hello or excuse me sir but just yelled out no dogs. No greeting or anything just screaming no dogs. I explained she was a service dog and she snarky replied where’s here vest and stuff. I pointed to it and then she starts rambling that ooo sorry just the rules and stuff. Don’t come to this store ever with their nasty employee.

I have always found treasures in The Other Shop that other people have donated for the benefit of our wonderful Wayne Memorial Hospital. It makes you feel good knowing that every time you make a purchase that it is helping our local hospital. I miss the wonderful volunteers that would help you and chat a few minutes. The Other Shop in Honesdale ,Pa will be missed!

Used to like going here, but today the lady made us leave our purses at the front and then she went to the back of the store leaving our bags unattended, I decided to take my purse and leave, never coming here again.
