This is a convenient place to stop at to get your drinks and snacks on the way back to Phoenix from Pine/Payson. The marketplace is located in the 76 gas station and there's accessible parking and ramps.
Inside, the interior is kind of small - however there's a decent selection of snacks to fill your cravings, especially plenty of candies and chips. However, most of the cold deli items seemed to be out of stock. They also have a fried chicken spot inside.
Checkout wasn't bad, not a long line- definitely less busier here than other gas station convenience stores (at least when I went).

The store hasn't had ac all summer. Ice is scarce and all of the coolers don't work properly. No matter what I buy it's not cold. I go in after work for cold beer and I have to put it in the freezer. The employees are hot and sweating and not happy. Why isn't anyone doing anything? It's miserable walking in there.

I needed to fill 4 truck tires, from 30 lbs on up to 40 lbs, and the air machine at Taylor's gave me 5 full minutes for $1.50. Most stations like Circle K give you 2 minutes. My mission was accomplished and as happy campers off we went.

I went into Payson Market Place, and my experience there couldn't have been better. There was an employee on the 76 gas station side that not only went out of her way to help me, but was so pleasant, and cheerful. She is definitely an asset to that company.

There is a girl that works in this store on the 76 side, think her name is joy, everytime I go in the store she is cleaning, making displays and helping customers. She is very pleasant and always smiling. A good and hard worker. She makes that place happen ?

Every time I've gone there I seem to have to deal with one particular employee that has no customer service skills what so ever. My last recent experience on May the 9th during the evening cost his boss a $30-$40 sale. I went in to purchase a pound of cigarette tobacco and rolling tubes and $30 worth of fuel. I was truly made to feel unwelcome. Well I work hard for my money and feel like why should I patronize a business that employs rude arrogant employees. Unfortunately this isn't the first time this same employee has had an attitude with me. I'll shop elsewhere from now on.

I've been buying a particular brand of CBD gummies at Payson Marketplace for several years. This morning, the clerk informed me that the current owner regards products associated with hemp (a legal, non-psychoactive fibrous plant) or marijuana (legal for qualified medical patients) as bad for his business image. So the CBD is gone.
I asked the polite, masked clerk to inform the owner that since CBD was the main reason I stopped in at Payson Marketplace, often after buying gas outside as well, I won't be shopping there anymore.
Decent, law-abiding citizens don't need gratuitous moral censure for seeking perfectly legal substances from local businesses.
