Great little family owned music store with every instrument you could think of. Friendly staff. Vinyl for sale, not so good unless you like polkas and Lawrence Welk. Good selection of music accessories though, and the instruments are mostly mid-range, but they do have some beginner options and a few higher end. There is a nice selection of amps as well.

We have bought all our children's instruments here. If they don't have something in stock, they will order it for you. Large variety of music books. Good place to get uncommon gifts for a music lover.

In the 10+ years we've lived in Evanston, WY, we've patronized Pickin' Palace in Rock Springs a few times. This last time, I bought an amp for my bass guitar, and we got to meet the owner and his family, who are also working musicians. We had fun sharing stories about the road, bandmates from hell, etc. Dave, the owner, was giving a guitar lesson to a youngster when we first walked in and was very patient and encouraging with his student. Afterward, he gave us a tour of the basement and let me play a couple of his basses, including a 6-string. Upon getting my new amp home, we looked it up online and turns out I got a pretty screamin' deal at Pickin' Palace. We'll definitely be back!

This place is awesome. I was obviously just browsing, but the owner(?) was very friendly and we chatted about music and guitars, didn’t catch his name but the people who run this place are awesome, they have a great store here

Excellent customer service and great selection of pro quality music equipment. I just purchased a Randall SATAN half stack and special ordered a premium Paul Gilbert signature Ibanez Guitar from pickin palace. This music store is hands down a better option than guitar center who has poor customer service. They will also match or beat anyone's prices within reason. Keep up the good work Todd, Dave, Jason and Gaylene. You guys rock. Many thanks for keeping me stocked up on nice equipment.

Traded my keyboard for a guitar. Gave me a fair deal and included a soft gig bag. Always fair prices for everything and they are willing to work with you. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who will work with you to set you up proper. Always willing to answer any questions and if they don't know (which doesn't happen often) they will find out. They got a repeat customer here.

Dave and Todd "the owners" are very kind and genuine, they are mindful of the specifications you need or desire to make a purchase. They bend over backwards to make sure their customer satisfaction meets your demands. The store is ample in supply of "all things music". The prices are competitive to other music stores, however there are none other in the area, you would have to drive to Salt Lake City Utah to match the value Pickin' Palace offers in Rock Springs.
