Best fly Shop around! Great selection, great people. They’ll help you with whatever you need, and they have top quality flies to buy if you don’t tie, and plenty of great materials if you do tie. Always excellent service. A must stop if you’re in the area.

Can’t understand why they feel the need to close down the tackle side and keep the fly side open when there’s another fly shop 5 miles down the road in Boiling Springs. Some of us like to use live bait and now there’s not 1 live bait shop in a Cumberland County. The closest live bait shop is in Newport at Base Camp Outfitters which is over an hour out of my way. Such a huge inconvenience. BRING BACK LIVE MINNOWS!!!

I live near Precision Fly and Tacle and I've always wanted to learn how to fly fish. I did some research and found a few classes in the area and the one offered by Precision was very reasonable cost wise so I went with their class. The class was awesome and our teacher Jake was truly passionate about fly fishing and preserving the environment. The class started off with some background on the sport, learning the different pieces of a fly rod setup, and how to tie the knots we'd need to make it all happen. After that, we went outside and spent time practicing casts with Jake coaching us and giving us pointers. Precision supplied all the equipment needed to learn. We took a break for lunch and then after getting some waders from Precision, we drove a mile or so down the road to a park and Jake then had us fishing in the Yellow Breeches!

Jake showed us how to identify the local bugs in the creek and where to look for fish. He was very patient when we got our lines tangled up and he continued to coach our class on casting. I even caught some small fish my first time out! Afterwards, Jake helped me get setup with some equipment and the things I'd need to get started.

If you are interested in learning how to fly fish, I highly recommend you check out Precision Fly and Tackle, they are really nice folks and know their stuff.

A fishing buddy and I recently visited the region to fly fish the fabled limestone spring creeks Yellow breeches, Letort Spring Run and Big Spring Creek to name a few.
We received absolutely no knowledgeable help from a fly shop in nearby Boiling Springs, but the guys at Precision were happy to help us get started with some basic maps to the area and solid advice on aquatic insects and fly selections. They carried more than everything we needed and they were pleasant to talk to.
Everything I expect a fly shop to be and we're looking forward to stopping in again when we return to this amazing Cumberland Valley!

We were amazed at the quality of people working here. They were very knowledgeable and excited to help up with all of the details to get into fly fishing. They did not try to sell us a thing that day, just gave us the info we were looking being new to fly fishing. Would definitely recommend!!

Waa the only place to get luve minnows was a huge part of there sales they had it split half fly half normal tackle now he has no live bait or bass trout crappie tackle he lost a huge customer base idiot

Been in the fly fishing and fly tying game for 28 years. This is by far the best shop on the east coast. The employees and owner treat you like family and go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for. Definitely stop in for all your fly fishing and tackle needs you won’t regret it!
