Don’t hold your breath if you place an online sub order. They either prioritize people online waiting for subs or don’t have the staff to prep online orders. Just go inside an order in person. An order placed at 5pm will not be ready till 7pm. Not exaggerating. I have receipts to back it up

Terrible experience. The women in the deli this morning 9/22/24 were very rude and dismissive. Didn’t even ask what I wanted just told me she couldn’t do it.

Attention District and General Store Management:

( Update 07/10/2024 . . . . This store hires subpar associates. I had to callback to the Publix In Greenspring to tell the Deli Manager who ever made the Mardi Gras Seasoned Wings 20 PC had to have been drunk or high or something. I arrived home. I was looking forward to sampling a wing while waiting on other food I ordered. MY GOD!!!! THE PREP COOKED SOAKED THOSE WINGS IN TWO BOXES OF PURE SALT AND EXTREME SPICY MARDI GRAS SPICE!!! These same wings I normally purchase at the Publix in the Hoover/Pelham Store are always delicious.
I feel sad that someone would mess up the recipe then say the wings out for shoppers to purchase. Once I notified the Deli Manager, he told me to bring the receipt by the store today or tomorrow for a refund. )

. . . .

Generally, I enjoy shopping at stores like Publix's, Kroger and Ingle's because the deli's are super exciting and filled with a variety of ethnic and worldly cuisines. Plus, the retail associates and management are usually a cut above all others. Usually, the retail associates are very friendly, customer service oriented and are aware of their working environment. However and yesterday, this wasn't the case at the Publix's in Green Springs.

I visited the Deli, the hot foods section of the store, and the first factor I noted that the line workers were totally ignoring customers standing there in line. In front of me, an older gentleman had to actually ask the young woman behind the counter for service. He was their to purchase a 20 pc baked wings to go; at the same time, there was an Asian woman needing service and the deli associates completely ignored her; then after the one deli associate finished serving the older gentleman, she walked off and leaving me there waiting on her or someone to ask me "How May I Help You."

While standing there waiting for customer service, I am listening to the entire deli crew (with the exception of one quiet lady) complain about their jobs, duties and what they are not willing to do. Their conversations pretty much explains their lack of customer service.

The bottomline is poor customer service hurts sales. In the future, I would bypass Publix's in Green Springs and go to either the Publix's in Hoover or Hueytown. Publix's in Green Spring has a rotten, unattentive, loud, obnoxious, ghetto deli crew that should be immediately terminated, replaced and upgraded with diverse and employable food service workers who are already trained and experienced in customer service and providing enjoyable shopping experiences for all shoppers.

Typical Publix, clean with wide aisles. Good selection of products. Helpful employees. Higher priced than competitors, but depending on what you want to buy, worth it. My only negative is that I don't like supporting the owner's politics.
