Had to really push to send my V Raptor in for service. Hit me with the standard protocol, firmware updates, photos, videos, and just assuming the customer was wrong. Several weeks later, they agreed to have me send in my camera for repair. As I stated, the issues I was having were indeed correct, but now I'm outside of the warranty. $1700.00 to repair the board on the DSMC 3 monitor and the audio board on the camera. They wouldn't cover or offer a discount on the fried audio board because they don't cover physical damage. i.e. burns. So after nearly a month without the camera, I finally made payment just to stop dealing with the whole lengthy situation. I'll be selling all my Red camera gear and will be shifting over to Sony.

RED offers a quality product and outstanding customer service. Based on my personal experience, I can say they have the best customer service I have ever encountered - in any industry. Maybe that's because they are relatively small. But, a lot of it has to do with genuine commitment and a desire to help the customer. We've always had direct access to a top tier RED technician. Within minutes, we can have an issue resolved simply by calling them. Yes, they have a phone and real, smart, compassionate humans working there. When you have a RED camera, you also have an exceptional support team.

Their sales reps don't get any nicer, kinder, and amazing-er. I've been buying from RED since 2013 and the various reps assigned to me have all been nothing short of the best of the best of the best, sir! They also make an amazing product as well. 🙂
