Where do I begin, my only regret is that I didn’t stay longer! Diane is an amazing host and chef. Very responsive. She even gave me a room upgrade that had large windows. It had fabulous views and a perfect setup inside! It was very comfortable. This was a peaceful and tranquil getaway in nature, as promised. I really appreciated how quiet it was and that there were no loud children!

The grounds were well kept too and this spot was easy to find. The website has so much information and recommendations which is so helpful. There’s a binder in the room as well with info. I enjoyed sitting on the lawn chairs and reading in the sun and seeing all the stars away from the light pollution. The fireplace in the room was also lovely to sit near and enjoy a glass of wine.

The breakfast is such a treat! Delivered right to your door, so you can stay cozy. I don’t know how she gets the biscuits to be so crispy on the edges while also so soft and flakey inside! I love the thoughtful dishware used as well, they add to the ambiance. The coffee was excellent and I appreciate Diane accommodating my requests!

The towels were plush and new! The bedding was also so soft and there are plenty of blankets and pillows. They even supply pool towels for the hot tub.

Overall, this spot is well thought out and you can tell the owners take great care in their work. Yes, the bathrooms are a little outdated, but it is so clean (which is most important to me). I had a wonderful solo trip and I can’t wait to come back!

Had a stellar time at Rendezvous during my trip up the coast! The grounds are serene and peaceful, the room was charming and cozy, hosts were very kind and responsive, and breakfasts were delicious. There are many little surprises and thoughtful touches you'll encounter during a stay here.

I went for a solo trip and thought it was a perfect place to slow down for a few days.

I had a wonderful experience at Rendezvous. The room was cozy and comfortable. The grounds were perfect for relaxing. The location is very central and easy to get to all the sights. The highlight was having fresh baked goods delivered to my door every morning. I will definitely be back.

My husband and I originally met Diane while wine tasting in Boonville last June. We had so much fun with her and were so impressed with her knowledge of wine that when we got home, we made plans to stay at Rendezvous Mendocino in the fall. ||The entire experience was fantastic! Diane and Damien are wonderful hosts! The property is beautiful with an intimate hot tub, fire pit and gardens. Our room, “Aquitaine” was lovely. Super cozy with a comfortable bed, day bed and recliners in front of the fireplace. Cutest little kitchenette ever! And lots of fun décor. There’s even a porch with Adirondack chairs where we sat in the sun.||Breakfast was amazing, biscuits with jam and honey, lemon blueberry scones and even vegan options – almond cherry scones and vegan biscuits! Home made and hot out of the oven. Perfect vanilla lattes and mochas too. Oh, and the cookies! Beautiful caramel chocolate chip and vegan chocolate smores cookies.||Diane is a sommelier (among so many other amazing skills!) so we booked a private tasting. It was so lovely! The tasting was in the lounge so no driving was needed! The tasting included a beautiful spread of classic charcutier fare and wonderful vegan options! It was such a treat! As a vegan, I don’t often have many choices but Diane really took care of me!||The wines were great, from two very small producers. While we drink a lot of wine, we aren’t experts. Diane made the experience very comfortable, she’s so knowledgeable without any pretense. It was a great opportunity to learn more.||Diane gave us lots of dining and wine tasting recommendations -- all were excellent. ||We’ll be back and next time plan to coordinate a salon appointment with Damien!

I recently stayed at Rendezvous Mendocino, and it was an unforgettable experience! The private hot tub that can be booked by the hour was such a treat. Every morning, we looked forward to the amazing breakfast options—especially the blueberry lemon scones, which were simply delicious. The bed was incredibly cozy, making for perfect nights of restful sleep, and the massage chairs by the fireplace added an extra touch of luxury and comfort. Falling asleep to the sound of ocean waves and seals nearby was magical. Hosts Diane and Damien were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Diane is the most incredible, sweet, patient, kind and hospitable person I have encountered in Gualala. A consummate host and all around fabulous human. I cannot express enough gratitude for her assistance with some difficulties I needed to resolve during my trip. 10/10 would recommend. I popped in on 1/15/2025. Cold weather. Warm people. Beautiful views.

Wow! What an incredible place! My friends and I loved our overnight at the beautiful and cozy Rendezvous boutique Inn tucked along the Northern Coast of California. The accomadations were so lovely and beautifully, the bed was just luxurious, the best ever, so comfy! I enjoyed every detail of my room, which was called the Evergreen Room. The walls were appointed with different kinds of bird prints, even a beautiful pair of wood carved geese hung over the fireplace mantle. The cozy chairs in front of the fireplace make this the perfect place to enjoy my morning coffee. ||Breakfast is included in your stay and oh my goodness!! Homemade granola, two fresh homemade morning glory muffins, a cup of applesauce all served in collectors china with cloth napkins and served to my room on a tray. The fresh strong Americano was out of this world, maybe the best Ive ever tasted! No kidding! ||There is an upper grassy area with a gas fireplace and a rustic variety of chairs placed all around and some stumps to set your glass of wine or tea on. We really enjoyed sitting here as it grew dark and the stars came out, listening to the sea lions barking from the ocean rocks below. Even though the Rendezvous is set across the road from the ocean, the view from the upper two rooms, 5 & 6 is just stunning! ||My friends and I left this Inn so inspired, we were already brainstorming as to when we could meet up again and stay for a more extended time, like maybe a week! Also I was so boosted to go home and make muffins and try my hand at granola and make some applesauce. ||I can't recommend The Rendezvous Mendocino more highly! The owner/managers are very kind and personal and have truly thought of every detail to make their guests feel welcome, at home, and comfy!

This is my second time here and it just keeps getting better. Diane & Damien are not only gracious hosts but loving stewards of this property. The rooms are spacious and uniquely decorated, each with a private deck. I love sitting there with a cup of chai and good book listening to the sea lions. There is also a communal lounge stocked with board games where you can sign up to soak in the hot tub under the stars. Diane’s baked goods are the stuff dreams are made of, especially her biscuits with gravy and maple pecan scones. They are hand delivered each morning on a tray decorated with flowers from their garden. It’s an amazing way to start your day. ||It’s conveniently located near Gualala where you can attend the Saturday morning farmers market, rent a kayak on the Gualala River or hike in the regional park. Sea Ranch has some great beaches too, Blackpoint and Walk On Beach are my personal favorites. Pick up some picnic items from the Surf Market and you’re ready to go. If you’re feeling really adventurous check out the Stornetta Trail about 15 minutes north of the property. It’s a gorgeous hike along the wind swept coast. ||I’m definitely looking forward to my next visit!
