I generally like Renfroe's because it is not very crowded and quick to get through the cashier. However, yesterday, I bought some shrimp and took it home. Opening it at home (the meat counter man had wrapped it in 2 things of cellophane wrap), a horrible smell emerged and I knew we could not eat the shrimp. I returned on Monday after work. 2 employees were very helpful and friendly (a young man and Mickayla). The young man came out and mentioned that one person wasn't there and the other person needed to finish something before she could come out and scan something to start the return. After more waiting, the young man went in and tried to scan someone's tag. That didn't work. More waiting. Finally the "manager" emerged. I put "manager" in quotation marks because she had zero customer service. Crystal could not have looked more unenthused to be at work if she tried. She quickly stared at my shrimp bar code and didn't even bother to smile or address me to apologize not only for the food I could not eat or the time of mine she had wasted while I stood there as she spent ten minutes finishing up something. I have been going to this Renfroe's for 8 years. I will now do my best to avoid supporting such horrible customer service from a "manager"

This place is exceptionally clean and well organized!! The cans in the aisles are SO meticulously organized as well as produce areas that it actually stands out to the eyes how unusually uniform everything is and in its right place like a magazine cover!

I truly feel like I’ve stepped back in time to the 1960s era with the smiling faces, extra kind staff, efficient pharmacy, personal interactions and even the old fashioned grocer smocks on the staff as they quietly clean the floors and genuinely take pride in this store like I’ve never seen before in a chain grocery store this day and age.

They have a very generous selection of things and I’m actually able to find items I have looked everywhere for since military moved us to the south, I’ve finally found it here!

Pharmacy accepts Tricare and I could not be more thrilled I will not have to endure going through Walgreens but can use this pharmacy instead.

Nice to find local small chain grocery stores. I like to try the house made things. We got some BBQ sauce and some pickles. They do a "pick 5" meats we'll have to try.

I went in around 615PM to get some steaks and potatoes. I went to the produce and got the potatoes and then to the meat counter. No one was there. I stood around for a while. I went up front and told to the manager I wanted some steaks from behind the counter. He got on the PA and announced that a customer needed help in the meat department. I asked him, do I just go back and someone will help me? He said yes. I went back and nobody ever showed up. I went back to the manager. He said I guess they are closed for the day. He says he doesn’t know how to weigh and label the meat
Why doesn’t he know that?
Why doesn’t he go back with me and make sure I’m not wasting my time?
Why doesn’t a manager know how to run the department?
Why such a lack of customer service?

When I want to beat the long lines at Walmart I ways come over to Renfroes. They have a great wine and beer selection. There are less options than a large grocery store like Walmart but they have a nice butcher and good produce.

I just went there for the breakfast. It was so cheap and good. Great southern breakfast food. And the ladies were very nice.
