Don’t buy From Clem at Rinaldi Auto Sales. He conducts poor business practice and lies to his customers.

I recently drove from two hours away to come and check out a car. They got it ready for me, which took about an hour, I test drove it, and then I stated that I was interested in buying the car. I spent at least two hours going over the details of the financing, looking through the fine print of their warranties. I was putting a lot of effort into making this decision. After looking over the finances for a while, I talked to Clem and told him that I was very interested in the car and was certain that I wanted to buy it. I asked him if he could place a hold on the vehicle so I could have a bit more time to finalize my decision. He proposed that I place a $5,000 deposit as the hold price, which was way too much. He then told me that the deposit didn’t mean much to him and the intent to buy was more important. When I told him I needed the rest of the day to finalize my decision, he looked me in the eyes and said “don’t worry, I won’t sell it out under you.” We agreed that I would get back to him by the end of the day with my decision, and he mentioned that any time worked to text him.

Fast forward to 8pm, about 4 hours after I finished meeting with him. I texted him that I was interested in the car and wanted to move forward with the paperwork. An hour later, he texted me that he sold the car to a long time customer and said that I didn’t respond. I promptly told him that I was under the impression that he wasn’t going to sell it on me and he was giving me a day or two to finalize my decision. He then responded by saying that I needed to text him by the end of the day, which I did.

Essentially, I wasted 8 hours of my life, a full tank of gas, and got my hopes up on my dream car for nothing. I was tricked and lied to by Clem, who in all reality never seemed to have my interests as his top priority. As car salesmen go, that is pretty typical, but I thought more of Clem. I was wrong. He is just like any other car salesman. He will lie to you, misguide your trust, and favor his pocketbook over the wellbeing of his customers.

Moral of the story: Please don’t buy from Clem or Rinaldi Auto Sales.

I was traveling from NH to NC to move into my first apartment. When I was halfway there my car's catalytic converter started to go. I stopped at Rinaldi's and I just have to say, I feel like they were my guardian angel. I wish I remembered the mechanics name, but he was on his lunch break when he started looking at my car. He troubleshot WITH me for 2 hours. He let me ask questions and explained everything to me so I would understand how it works. After the 2 hours, we narrowed it down to the most likely culprit, the cat converter, but I was told they wouldn't be able to do much for me that week(week of Thanksgiving) without it costing me an arm and a leg. When I thanked them and asked how much I owed them they told me they didn't technically fix anything and so I didn't owe them anything. Truly guardian angels.

I just got my car fixed in NC and was able to describe exactly the problem to the mechanic down here because of all of the time and patience Rinaldi's mechanics had in explaining how everything worked to me. I am so grateful. If I lived in Pennsylvania this would be my mechanic every time 🙏🏻⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If I could give them a negative I would. Called first thing in the morning to schedule a test drive and check availability. Was told I could come down and look at the two cars I was inquiring about. Drove over 30 minutes to their location. Upon arrival I did not see the vehicles on the lot. Talked to the salesman and he said the one had already been sold and the other was in the shop because it was involved in an accident. Extremely unprofessional and disorganized.
