Amazing! Strictly plant based and crushing it! As a vegan baker and pasty maker, this place has it dialed in and I was truly impressed!
They checked all the boxes. Customer service was off the hook, all of the food and coffee we tried was stellar, and the vibe was so nice and chill! If you’re vegan and love a good vegan pastry and coffee this is your place! I’m not sure if the menu is also fully gluten free, but everything we saw was gluten free, including the waffles! (Photo attached).

I love their unique taste of the coffee, also mint latte was quite refreshing, I think mint tea is better than coffee. However, I was happy to try it. I also like their blueberry donut, it was not very sweet which I liked!
I will be back for latte!!!

The lavender flavor on my iced lavender matcha was a bit strong but this coffee shop is so cute! The people who work here are super kind. Also got a turmeric latte/ golden milk which was really really good.

Easily my favorite cafe of all time! Rooted is a completely vegan space, so for those of us who are lactose intolerant there is 0 chance of a mistaken order making you sick. There are also lots of gluten free options. The only dietary restriction I would avoid this place for is a nut allergy, due to the vegan recipes being nut heavy.

I don't think I've ever had a bad order from here. The menu is quite large with food, drinks, and pastry options. The food is well portioned, especially for a cafe, no tiny disappointing avocado toasts here! The staff is extremely friendly, some of the nicest baristas I've ever encountered. Being a vegan cafe, there are more non-dairy milk options here than any other cafe I've visited (oat, almond, macadamia, and soy), personally I recommend the macadamia. I highly recommend the churro latte with macadamia milk + the avocado toast make it fresh + the omega donut. The donuts are definitely "healthier" than your standard ones, but even my friends who aren't into items like that still enjoy them.

The space is well set up for a large number of visitors with long communal tables near the door and standard tables near the back and outside. There is also a comfortable couch seating area. The vibes in here are fantastic with lots of plants as well as local art exhibitions. On weekends, there is sometimes a DJ outside spinning. It can get crowded easily though, most weekends it is a bit of a struggle to find a table, even with all the seating.

I just wish they would bring back the "churro waffle sticks" from a few years ago! Those were the best item on the menu, but they've been gone for some time now.

If you’re vegan or vegetarian and needs your daily dose of caffeine, this is the best place for you. Everything is vegan! I’m on a quest to find the best coffee shops to study and get work done. I went in at lunchtime on a Tuesday and the place is packed, so it was kind of hard to find a good spot to study and focus. I ordered the Breakfast Sammy which was sooooo good! I want to get another one. LOL. The cheese, egg, and patty is all plant-based. I really like the inviting rustic feel of the place as well as the plants all over. The staff members are all cool and friendly.

Saturday morning brunch with Green Goddess and house coffee was amazing recommendation by a very polite cashier. This place is good to sit outside and definitely worth the food. Healthy and fresh at a reasonable price.

I absolutely love this place. I come here almost every morning and I don't have to worry about asking for non-dairy options, since everything on the menu is plant based. 😋. What a blessing to have such a place in Walnut Creek. The vegan croissant breakfast sandwich with avocado 🥑 is amazing. I highly recommend it. 👌
