A place of last resort. The guy I see most often at the counter (not sure if he's the owner) often appears impaired, sometimes in a very uncomfortable way. Once he was unable to speak or operate the register, just gave me a 1000-yard stare with red, glassy eyes. Today (Dec 11 just after 4p) he argued with me about whether there was anything called Super Lotto Plus in California, despite me holding a ticket and having purchased it there before. "You wanna argue with me?!" he asked in what could be taken as a semi-threatening manner, but I'll give the benefit of the doubt here. When I said no, I'll just go somewhere else, he told me to leave and called me a "goober." Oh kay, dude...

There are other small markets around the area that aren't staffed like this. They're a better place to spend your money.

I keep having the worst interactions with staff at this market. I live rin the area. So it’s convenient to walk to. Although their selection is extremely limited, and their prices are extremely high, it’s still an easy walk.
I had major surgery on cancer a year and a half ago. Due to complications in both nerve and muscles everyday tasks are much harder now. Convinces is always welcome.
I went in a few months back and grabbed a couple things I needed. Due to my medical complications I haven’t been able to work at all in the past year and a half. I took my things to the counter and asked, “Do you take EVT?” And the response I received wasn’t a nice understanding “Sorry, no we don’t.” Instead it was the man looking at me like I’m scum and saying, “No!” With a smirk of discussed. When I told him, “Well never mind then.” he scoffed at me and rolled his eyes.
Fast forward a couple months later I go to get some orange juice that’s $6. I pay with my debit card and I ask “Do you have a bag I could have?” Instead of saying “Sure, that’s 25 cents though. Is that ok?” He just said “No that’s another 25 cents.” With this look on his face as though I’m irritating him.
I don’t care how far the grocery store is. I’m never going back to that store ever again!!!
By far the worst market I’ve ever been too.

Stopped in this morning for the first time and was impressed. Great convenience store with a very impressive spirits and beer selection. The coffee was good too.

Help this couple succeed! They're open to suggestions and trying hard to establish a coffee bar (city bureaucracy is a b**ch, I bet.). Plus they've straightened out/tidying up the store which is nice. I've noticed they have stocked nonstandard names in wines and added one more gin labels. Please add Botanist and Empress gins to your shelves. Best served with with fresh citrus.

I reside in the neighborhood and the couple is always pleasant. They've cleaned up the establishment from the previous owners and it really shows.
