Large store that has great selection of tools, hardware, and just about everything else found in big box stores. Competitively priced and better service than big box stores, too. Has greet selection of Stihl outdoor power equipment not sold in big box stores, also.

We stopped by for plumbing tools and an outlet timer for my kitchen window lights. Wow so much more!!! Husband out lojac on me because I got lost wandering looking at all the home decor (cabin ✔️, pet✔️, and more). Lots of canning supplies and other home goods, nice variety of pet treats and toys (will need to find pill pockets) and yes a nice selection of outlet timers. These work well for indoor holiday lights or even lamps. There were around aisle 21 if you are looking for them.

I go there out of convenience because Lowe’s is 30 minutes away. Visit often as I live nearby during the summer, and like to support local. Went for something I needed quickly for a remodel. Serious price gouging. Every sharkbite valve in the store that was a standard size was obviously recently marked up with new stickers 2x the price of all others. Bobo.

There were three employees at the registers, and it wasn't clear where I should stand to buy the stuff I was holding. So I and my two little girls were standing there when I asked a lady employee where the lone was. And she was nasty and asked " line for what?" I was like to buy things. Also I returned some stuff and they forgot to refund me on one of the items.

I will never bring anything there for repairs after receiving a huge
bill today for repairs to my chain saw. The parts replaced were
inexpensive but the labor was 40 dollars. I have been buying
from this store for over 30 years only because of their location
that is in close proximity to my home. I believe almost everything
within their doors is overpriced. Claiming all employees are
pleasant in Shaffer's is an overstatement by the innocent.

Super cool hardware store. This place is in the middle of nowhere, if you live in the city but to those on the outskirts, it seems to be well-known. We were able to find everything we wanted and spent quite a bunch of time in the tool section, noticing many Milwaukee tools we do not see at Home Depot. We are also able to find quite a few unique cuts of wood that we were able to purchase by the linear foot.

Check it out, pretty unique and reminds me of a well stocked, private hardware store!!
