Came into Showtime as a long time buyer and Was looking for Posters for my new office and they have loads of collectables! Owner, handed me several items to add and decorate my office. As always I purchased a few things to support them. Recommend checking out the shop to anyone who's simply trying to collect. Appreciate you Guy's as always!

I would leave zero stars if possible. Im all about supporting local card shops but not when they are shady like the owner and staff here. Despite having allocations for Pokemon products this stores owner and employees will buy out local Pokemon Vending machine products throughout the city of Tucson and then resell the products for over double the price in their store. As someone who loves collecting Pokemon I cannot support a store that is part of the problem and is downright a worst version of a no-life scalper. I even attached a picture of a well known employee at the location buying everything in the vending machine.

My wife and I recently came into possession of a tremendous amount of pokemon cards. We took the vast majority of them to Showtime on the recommendation of a guy who tried very hard to hustle us out of some cards. We brought them by but despite the vast number of cards, the employees knew within minutes of seeing the stack that apparently all were worth nothing. They also don't buy bulk cards and don't know of anyone who does outside of eBay. Rather thought I'd get some answers here but alas, we got nowhere. I'm not downright dinging the place though because it's likely not their fault the market and/or subculture is so narrow and their employees can only know so much.

I had lots of fun at one of their tournaments! I left my card binders on accident, and they held them for me until I was free to pick them up. Great prices and knowledge staff. Thanks!

there are pictures and videos online of the store owner and his son buying out entire Pokemon vending machines in order to create the illusion of scarcity. Then they put that product on their shelves for 3x the retail value. Actually insane to have allocations for wholesale amounts of product at wholesale prices and then also buy out everything nearby. The margin of profit they seek is deplorable as well as their behavior within the TCG community.

EDIT IN ORDER TO RESPOND: Even if you guys don't take the product purchased from vending machines and put them on the shelves which I highly doubt, seeing you guys run around town buying out entire machines while literally owning a card shop with access to product to rip for yourself, that's insane. Why not leave the retail priced products for the rest of Tucson. It's usually the only place most average people can afford to take part in the hobby. Because, in response to your next point, you prices are clearly not based on TCGPlayer prices or ebay listing. For example, you have Prismatic Evolutions booster packs listed for $16 on your website. The retail value of them is $4.50, market prices is $13 and there are tons of listing of them in the range of $7 - $10. Therefor, you're quite a big percentage above even market. And this is simply one single example. I could list more. Why not rip your wholesale purchased product as it cost less for you the take part. Why buy out entire machines? Could easily leave some for others instead of buying so much that every single sku gets removed and the machine goes red...

Very high priced vintage. Book price regardless of condition which most are pretty rough. Pretty much ignored while I was in the shop. I would say they catter to new product sales and a quick profit, not to true collectors. I have been collecting since 1962. I enjoyed the other card shops in Tucson much more.

We stopped by from out of state to check out the shop. Heard nothing but good things about it. Found a tin with 2 packs of Pokemon cards for a great price. My son wanted to do the chip pull. I asked the clerk how it worked and he guaranteed us that we would walk away with something. The hits in the case weren’t huge, but it was fun. My son pulled a chip and he got the wheel spin. We spun the wheel and we got a “whammy”. The kid behind the counter laughed at us and said we didn’t get anything. He then went and talked to another clerk about it, since he told us we were guaranteed something, but came back and said “sorry, you don’t win anything”. Well thank you for disappointing a 4 year old kid.

Other than that, all of the other staff were great.

First if your not a people person then you probably shouldn't work a face to face job! I go to the shop to see there selection but before I can look they tell me if I don't know what I want or what I'm looking for to leave and don't come back until I know what I'm looking for! The worst customer service ever! I would not recommend going there. They worst retail experience I've ever had!!!! ZERO STARS!!!
