The Sky Rider Cafe is like a 1960s Impala. Reliable, classic, and you know what you’re going to get. Great atmosphere at a little old diner tucked away next to the KAVQ FBO. I feel like this is a must stop while flying in with your friends or family. Grab a hot cup of coffee, pancakes, and the works and leave heavier than you came so be sure to go light on the gas.

Sky Rider Cafe is a genuine rural Arizona dining experience! My wife and I had lunch and chose the country-fried steak entree and French dip sandwich. The dining atmosphere is very American, with many hanging models of WW2 airplanes and photos of aircraft on the walls. Service was excellent, and food portions generous. In another recent visit, I had a wonderful sausage & egg breakfast, with biscuit & gravy! Please visit Sky Rider Cafe, as these little spots of Americana are rapidly disappearing.

Great tasting food and friendly atmosphere. Nice big windows to see the planes flying in and out of the airport. The portions are a little small, but everything is under 10 bucks. Highly recommend.

Place was packed (12/27) and we had a party of 9. Considering the crowd, service was as good as could be expected. Food was excellent. Not a fancy place which was perfect. Looking forward to returning with just my wife.

This was our go to place for breakfast when we lived off Ava valley. The chicken fried steak and eggs was delicious, nice size steak eggs hash browns, so good. Bit of a drive from town but if you want a great breakfast it’s worth it. Prices are also good.
