I recently visited this store, and I must say, it was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish. It is clear that the management prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction, and unfortunately, it shows in nearly every aspect of their business. First and foremost, the pricing at this store is absolutely outrageous. Every single item seems to be marked up well beyond its fair market value. Basic household goods, for instance, are priced at levels that are significantly higher than even nearby competitors. Whether it’s a can of soup, a roll of toilet paper, or something as simple as a bottle of shampoo, you can bet you’ll be paying an absurd premium. It feels like they are intentionally targeting consumers who have no choice but to shop there, knowing full well they can get away with price gouging. This is especially noticeable during times of need or when certain items are in high demand, and it raises serious ethical questions about how they do business. But even worse than the blatant price gouging is the behavior of their staff, particularly at the checkout. I had the unfortunate experience of being attended to by a cashier who seemed utterly uninterested in providing even the bare minimum level of customer service. To make matters worse, the cashier was downright rude to a disabled customer in line ahead of me. This customer, who required assistance with their transaction, was spoken to with a tone that was dismissive and condescending. It was appalling to witness such a lack of basic empathy or decency from a person in a customer-facing role. If the store expects customers to pay these sky-high prices, they should at least ensure their staff are treating them with respect and courtesy, especially those who might require a little extra help. I also couldn't help but notice that the store itself is poorly maintained. The aisles are cluttered with misplaced items, and many of the shelves look like they haven’t been properly stocked or organized in ages. The atmosphere inside the store is grim and unwelcoming, making it an unpleasant place to shop. If they care so little about how their store looks, it’s clear they don’t care much about customer satisfaction or the quality of their products either. This store needs to be inspected. It’s clear that they are taking advantage of vulnerable shoppers by overpricing basic goods and providing subpar customer service. The lack of proper care in the way they manage their store, coupled with the disturbing behavior of their staff, makes it difficult to understand how they continue to operate in this manner. There are plenty of other options available for shoppers who are looking for fair prices and decent customer service, and I would strongly suggest avoiding this store altogether. It’s a shame because with some effort and a change in their approach, they could easily improve. But as it stands, this place feels like a cash grab and nothing more.

After being hounded by the cashier/owner about my age, and being talked down to, I was forced to remove my mask --durring a pandemic-- to confirm I was the owner of MY ID. After I got home I discovered the Grabba Leaf I purchased was old and growing mold. 1 star for the rum.

There's a new boss that arrived maybe 2-3 mos ago who's face looks like he's an Ottoman Empire's warrior's sleazy nephew. He's always trying to make pathetic jokes with customers and thinks he's cute about it. Can't stand him. Also I noticed the frozen products have been flimsy and sometimes stale. It's like it was left in the truck or outside the freezer, letting it melt a little before being put in their won freezer. I'm part Arab myself so I can say
this: I hate going to Arab liquor stores. 95% of them still haven't forgotten their 3rd world level type of business practices. The previous Manager Galal was cool, but I was told he's in Yemen. The indian guys there are cool but not this current wannabe boss/manager.

Their beer was warm because they keep their fringes at low temperature to save money.
Prices are higher than other stores in the neighborhood.
They are preying on the weakest members of society just like a lot of these type of businesses in the low income neighborhoods.
Like the tenderloin.
I will never buy there again.
