This review should have been made 3+ years ago, but I was holding on to hope that time and rain and prayers or even tears would fix this nightmare. In the summer of 2021 we purchased an ungodly amount of wood chips for our backyard. Who knew there were so many types to choose from? Not me. When my husband mentioned that we had small children and animals, whoever was working that day recommended the “walk on” wood chips. Great! A little more expensive, but good for little bare feet, right? Right?! Wrong. We have collectively gotten approximately 4.27 billion splinters. Very small. Very painful. Very difficult to extract. As a matter of fact, sometimes you can’t pull them out and you just have to suffer until they dissolve under your skin. Sometimes I get splinters just looking out of the window at the wood chips. I have finally given up and am slowly ridding the yard of these, one green bin at a time. I may be done by 2026. Maybe we got a bad batch? Maybe this was a cruel joke and “walk on” means “whatever you do, do not walk on these woodchips” I don’t know. I only know that hate is not a strong enough word to describe how I feel about these wood chips. Do not buy without testing first. You don’t have to take your shoes off. They are equal opportunity splinters and are happy to stick into your hands or arms or any other exposed skin. I wish the worst minor inconveniences on whomever is responsible for this.

Good location, guys inside are cool, good selection and pricing but quality is just okay. Gravel I picked up was about half dirt. Makes it pretty pointless to put weed screen down if half the gravel is dirt. Not much I can do now but be annoyed. 5 stars otherwise.

Researched a ton and got quotes everywhere. No one can beat SoCal Mulch’s prices. Great prices and solid selection of materials for your yard needs; they also have a nice display at their store if you need little sample baggies of rocks to take home and try out. We purchased all our decorative rock from here and was able to get it delivered same day. Delivery driver was on time and friendly. Highly recommend.

The guy that helped me at socal mulch was very friendly and great customer service. He stayed late after closing to help me out. Really thankful. Great prices. Good staff. Good product. Cheap, fast, and knowledgeable.

Was very busy when I went in to get rocks. The clerk looked at the rental truck knew how much it should hold. Only wait 15 minutes for it to be loaded which was fast for everything the guy was mixing and loaded out back.

Only down side it the lighting inside. Very low light makes it hard to see the sample trays when choosing rock or mulch.

SoCal Mulch is dirt cheap!

Charlie just made a delivery to my home and was extremely courteous. He made sure the dirt stayed in my driveway and took the extra time to dump with accuracy. Huge thanks SoCal Mulch & and even bigger thanks to Charlie who will make my cleanup much easier!
