This store offers an eclectic mix of clothing, accessories, and some home goods. The store is an intriguing celebration of Black culture, creating visibility to some brands that I previously hadn’t been exposed to. There were a lot of menswear/unisex options available. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find any clothing in my size. I did purchase a couple of greeting cards.

Came to Sole Folks for a giveaway event. Everyone who worked the event were very kind and went out of their way to accommodate and assist people there and helped to locate items in specific sizes and forr specific needs. Store is in a great location in a bright vibrant area.

this unique fashion shop allows local designers to display their brands. This store is a must see if you are visiting the historic Leimert Park area.

Be careful about what you choose to buy as they do not do refunds at this store, only exchanges. And you can only exchange your item from the same brand you originally purchased from. That was not indicated anywhere in the store so I figured they had a standard return policy. I’m letting you know in advance because they will not tell you this important piece of information.

It was my first time at the Leimert Park Plaza and I was very excited to support a black-owned business. I bought a colourful shirt I really liked from the LA Raw brand. The salesperson did not provide me with a receipt but since my initial visit was a pleasant experience, I didn’t think much of it at the time. That same evening, I realized upon further inspection that the shirt I bought was covered in images of guns on the back so I decided to return it. When I went to the store a few days later and asked for a refund, the energy of the salesperson shifted. That’s when I learned that they do not do refunds. She insisted that the no-return policy was indicated on my receipt and when I explained that I was never given one, she said that they sent it to my email (they did not) and eventually shifted the story to “we asked you if you wanted a receipt printed or sent to your email and you said you didn’t need one” which was completely false. After a lot of back and forth, I was basically forced to pick from a bunch of items I didn’t particularly like. I exchanged the gun shirt for a pair of LA Raw sunglasses and a water bottle. The process took a long time. I provided the salesperson with the transaction details from a bank statement off my phone because they did not have my email, none of the transaction information nor a merchant copy of my supposed receipt, confirming that they had never given me one to begin with. A mess y’all.

What started out as a good experience turned into a bittersweet moment I will be glad to forget. Make sure you demand a receipt either sent to your email or a printed copy. They have some dope items and I really do love my people but I definitely won’t be going back to this store.

Very comfortable atmosphere very warm and welcoming even the proprietor said to me this is your home and I appreciate that. So I sit down and he even recharge my phone. And he showed me how you do broadcast I think I'll do it one day 😁
