The absolute best deals on name brand clothing and shoes etc and of course fishing supplies. My husband is one of their biggest fans and today I have to brag about the customer service. I went in to get a gift card a family member called in for my husbands birthday and the beautiful Hook and Tackle shirt I was buying him was accidentally charged to the gift card. But let me tell you they were amazing. It was all straightened out within minutes with nothing but kindness. This is the place to go!

I went in and saw the sign said "Boots 50% off" so found a pair i really liked and took them the cashier. When he told me the total I asked "aren't they 50% off?" He said these don't count. I asked to see a manager and he said it was a misprint and when I asked are you gonna knowledge the price then? He sighed and rolled his eyes and said firmly NO! I won't shop here for awhile nor will send friends and family. I work for a hotel in the area and im telling the guests shop academy sports from now on

If I had rated this place earlier it would have been 5 stars for there selection and PRICES. However, in last year I have seen selections go down and price sky rocket (more than inflation) to about the same as other comparable bait shops. Their sale prices are still good and I still shop here some.
