We came here everyday while on vacation. Beautiful views and insanely well-crafted foods. The kids loved the homemade Cinnamon Toast Crunch and pastries. The lox bagel was perfect!

If this cafe was in our hometown, it would be hands down our favorite place to go.

A must stop when in Shelter Cove. The location can't be beaten - I particularly enjoy sitting outside to watch and hear the ocean while feeling the see breeze as I enjoy a coffee and a pastry. The employees are very friendly, attentive and pay a great deal of attention to detail and appearance. The resulting aesthetics further enhance the experience. Others may find things to knit-pick about, but to me this is an amazing place that is good for the soul.

Location: beautiful views of the coast from both indoor and outdoor seating.
(Outdoor seating not covered or heated - just wear layers 🤓🧤)

Food: Fresh and local. Great selection of breakfast and yummy treats. Coffee and non-coffee choices for all

Ambiance: Clean, modern, beachy and comfy. Team is great!

Tips: Can be rented out for private parties. Great spaces for covered tents and additional party space. Has a spirits bar!

I really enjoyed my experience here. I ordered the advocado toast, was not disappointed, very simple and light. The staff was absolutely amazing, friendly and accommodating. Will go again tomorrow to try coffee and order the toast again. And the views!!! Loved it

I love this place so much, I stopped by several mornings while I was visiting my mom. This is the best place for coffee and views. Make sure to sit outside. There's even a drink that had the blue butterfly pea in it, it will turn your froth blue

Two of us had breakfast here on a weekend. We were seated immediately at an ocean view window. The staff brought coffee right away. The coffee was strong with a hint of Carmel or strong roast, which I enjoyed as a latte but it needed sugar to counter the dark roast. They make bagels and muffins in house. Our food came out of the kitchen in a timely manner given how busy they were. The decor is modern and fresh. My breakfast sandwich was very good and would be classified as a small or modest sized portion. The bagel and lox was wonderfully presented with sprouts but too heavy with honey mustard for my taste. They have a small lounge area and a kids play area which both added to the charm. The staff did an excellent job and made the visit great. The restroom is clean and great interior design (which is a funny comment, but I was impressed).

Four stars, because of the coffee. "Coffee House" is in the name. I'll start with the venue and food. Amazing location, overlooking Pacific surf. You get to enjoy breakfast, watching the waves. I had the avocado toast. Delicious. They added some pickled onions, which was a new twist, and those went really well. The other pastries looked delicious.

The coffee. It's most of what I came for. Roasted too dark, where the bitter roast notes were prominent. I had a cappuccino, so I was trying to stay light on the milk. It was just okay. As perfect as the food and location are, the coffee was disappointing. A little more attention to coffee sourcing and espresso settings would go a long way.

My error was in saying three stars when I gave four. Corrected.
My coffee was bitter from over-roasting/ dark roasting. Dark roasts can work with some types of beans, and some places use dark roasts to cut through the syrups often used in drinks. I've been roasting coffee for over 10 years, and I've written many reviews. I don't typically find my reviews to be contrarian. I appreciate your feedback, and perhaps my "diagnosis" of cause is incorrect. However, the coffee under the milk was bitter/sour. It's a great venue, the food was great, the coffee disappointing. My wife Yelps, I Google. It is refreshing to see that you're watching your reviews closely.

Lovely spot on the water. We ended up going here to days in a row because we loved it. The homemade biscuits with their whipped honey butter - Absolutely amazing.
