We had a very great day riding the gravelbikes around San Francisco! The bikes were pretty good, the helmets were new (rentals! 😇😃) and chrissy was really friendly, helpef us a lot, gave top recommendations. The rentsl price was really high though.. 120$ is too much for a one day rental. Not even in Moab or around Lake Tahoe the prices were that high.
We would come back - no matter what! Thank you

Great service! We rented a couple of mountain bikes to climb Tam and they helped us plan a route and pointed out some nearby parking. We went up "old railroad grade" and came down Eldridge from the East Peak, to Indian Fire Road, then down Blithedale Ridge back to the city. Parts of Eldridge and Indian were steep and rocky, but the bikes we rented handled the terrain incredibly well. Once you make it to Blithedale the trail is smooth and fast with some great rolling hills.

I was filling air in my bike and broke the nozzle off while detaching the pump. I have to admit I am a total novice with bikes so it immediately became a concern because I wasn't sure who to reach out to how much it would cost but I was so glad to get in touch with Sean. Sean reassured me he would get it fixed within the same day and went out of his way to pick and drop off my bike. I would definitely maintain this as my go to spot for bikes! I can't thank them enough for instantly relieving me of the hassle I may have had to go through, otherwise. Bike was back to normal the same day and has been fine ever since!

The folks at Tam Bikes are phenomenal - not just friendly and helpful, but extremely thorough and knowledgeable. I brought my bike in for some work and also an extra set of wheels I wanted covered to tubeless and to be interchangeable on the bike. Geoff, George, and James were so thoughtful and detailed about everything. I will definitely return and will also encourage other cyclists to visit Tam Bikes.

I want to like my local bike shop but I’ve now had multiple bad experiences with their service team. I needed my brakes and pads replaced and there was a 2 week wait … ok I understand they’re busy. So I asked to just purchase the parts (which I can get for less online) so that I could do the repair myself. I’d done pads before but not the rotors … so I asked how hard it was to do. It was clear that the service person didn’t like the idea that I’d do the repair myself and made it seem pretty challenging—it was not. Instead of understanding that I needed a quicker repair, selling me the parts and giving some guidance, they were kinda rude and discouraging. I’ve bought an expensive bike from this place so it just didn’t feel good (especially as a small business owner myself).

I rented a drifter gravel bike from Tam Bikes. The service was excellent - they were very helpful - and the bike was great too. We had a great ride around the coast. Highly recommended
