The Ted Fay Fly Shop is an institution in the Shasta region. Bob Grace can give you an up to date report on the McCloud, Upper Sac, Hat Creek, Pit, and the other exceptional rivers in the area, supply you with appropriate gear, and ensure you know where to go and how to get there. This is THE shop to visit if you are heading to California's best rivers, bar none. It doesn't hurt that the Dunsmuir brewery is across the street, either.

Possibly the best fly shop I've ever been to. Selection is great, with a wide range of stuff for both new anglers and old. I like to stock up on their thin humpies when I'm in town. Let's give credit where it's due, though: Bob is an absolute professional. His customer service harkens back to the 90s, and he will make sure you're taken care of. I really cannot say enough good things about you, Bob, you made our trip. The store so nice, you've gotta visit twice!

A friend and I headed west from North Carolina for some fly fishing. We did some guided trips and some DIY trips. On a DIY trip on the upper Sac, we ran into a gentleman along the railroad tracks. We had a good talk and later found out it was Bob Grace. What an incredible guy. Super helpful and a great shop to restock on supplies and buy gear we didn't know we needed for the Cali style of fishing. I will never forget the experience of meeting Bob on the tracks and all of the helpful tips he gave us for our adventure. Thanks, Bob!

This is Fly Fishing central for the Sacramento River area as it flows through and past Dunsmuir. There are plenty of access points for the river and you can ask about them at the Fly Shop. River hikes, amazing waterfalls, hiking, fly fishing. So much to do and it's all supremely beautiful.

My first visit here was short but memorable - Bob and the other gentleman working there are wonderful to talk to and a wealth of knowledge. They have everything you might need to fish their waters effectively and some great resources, like their annotated map of the area, to guide you in the journey. I also bought some of Bob’s flies, which are beautiful. Give them a visit!

Wonderful store nestled in the quiet town of Dunsmuir. Right off the freeway and easy to find. They have everything you need and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and will provide you with anything you're looking for to gain confidence on the upper sac and surrounding water. I bought a hoodie and some flies but wished I could have purchased more to support Bob and the legend that surrounds this store. Later that day I caught 7 beautiful rainbow trout (3 at mossbrae falls). I can't wait to go back!!! Thank you Bob, you and your staff were great!!!
