I have been complaining about my steering wheel being misaligned when i had first purchased the car brand new. I brought it up to their attention at my last tire rotation which I was then informed by their staff that this is normal so I just took what they said at face value but tell me why I get a notification maybe a month later I need to get it checked. I personally feel like Tesla should be responsible since I originally purchased it this way, but nope they want to charge me $270.

I'm starting to understand why Tesla has such a low rating on Google Maps. First, the vehicle I ordered became unavailable due to a software issue, and I was told it would take two weeks to resolve. To avoid waiting, I ordered a different vehicle—switching from a Model 3 to a Model Y—only to be charged another $250, despite being assured that everything would transfer over smoothly.

Now, after placing my Model Y order, I’m no longer receiving the referral code I was originally eligible for. The lack of transparency and follow-through has made this an incredibly frustrating experience. It feels like the customer is not the priority here. Worse, when you reach out for help, communication seems to stop—calls and texts go unanswered. Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing experience with Tesla’s customer service.

I see now why this place has such low ratings. This review is for the service center.
I’ll keep it simple, I went in to pick up some wiper blades for a friend’s Tesla. They couldn’t or wouldn’t sell me any without having the VIN of that vehicle. I had the year and model but just not good enough for wiper blades.
I spent 20 years in the automotive sector (a lifetime ago) and this was a first for something so simple.

our car’s delivery date got set for a Friday at 11am. We called this branch 5 times trying to see if the car is there. Nobody picked up and nobody called us back. The car wasn’t there and wouldn’t be delivered for another 3 days. We paid a lot of money for the delivery plus the car in general so it is absolute bs that nobody can respond to us or change the delivery date. If you give us the option of a delivery date, deliver the god damn car on that date!

I would give it a 0 stars if I could. Customer service is terrible. My husband and I had an appointment for a test drive. We had to pay 250 dollars to reserve. We called to reschedule the appointment. We were on hold for an hour. We finally hung up. We live about an hour away. The only way you can talk to someone is to go to the location. They finally called us. We explained we were not able to talk to anyone to reschedule the appointment. We asked for a refund. They wouldn't refund. Be careful. I can't believe you you should have to pay 250 to test drive a car.

Texts responses on app were incoherent and pretty much worthless. It appeared that the people answering the texts did not understand English, or the responses were by very bad AI. Went back & forth for a week, with one text response per day from Tesla.
They couldn't decide if two Model 3 recall items would take 3 hours or 4 days (Friday morning to end of day Monday), with no loaner car provided.
Once I was able to speak to a person everything went great. I was given the choice to have Tesla mobile service come to my home. Recall items replaced in 1 hour.

Took my car in to fix scratches noticed after delivery. One of the scratches was not fixed and would not take care of the swirl scratches on the hood and fenders. They only washed the areas that needed to be fixed. After picking up afterhours I noticed that the interior had white spots on the steering wheel seat and door. They also deleted messages sent over the app mentioning some of the damage they refused to fix.

I made my appointment for 11:45 AM and dropped my car off at 11:35 for the alignment to get fixed and for the right, passenger wheel to be replaced. The estimated time the app said they would finish was 6pm, which sounds crazy to me, but I rolled with it. I got an Uber to leave the dealer and find a place to entertain myself for the next couple hours.
When 6 came, I didn’t receive a call from the advisor about my car. I waited and waited and started to get nervous because my car was my only means of transportation and the dealer closes at 7 and I live 2+ hours away (Tesla Stockton is the closest Tesla dealer from me.) I messaged them through the app and didn’t receive a response until after 7.
I went back to the dealer at about 6:45, still no word about the progress of my car or if it was done. The doors were locked and no one was inside. At this point, I was worried that they were keeping my car for the night, which, no one had mentioned, either.
I found a rolling door open at the service area of the building and walked inside to talk with anyone that was in there. I told them that I never received a phone call in regards to if my car was done or even a call saying that they needed more time. Almost an hour after 6 with nothing from the advisor, who was gone and had left before 7, to my understanding.
The last thing that needed to be done was a test drive for alignment, so I waited outside for the guy to finish doing that. Thankfully, I got my car and was on my way, but I was infuriated because I had heard nothing about the progress of my car and was worried I didn’t have a way back home.
Sal, the manager, called me, apologized, and offered to fix the mistake by not charging me for the alignment, and said he would address the issue with the advisor. I would’ve given one star, but thanks to Sal, I decided to bump the rating up.
