This was my first (and probably last) visit to this thrift store. The man working there has the personality of a glass of water. I brought in a sizable donation. Instead of hearing those two words "thank you" this bland man said "put it on the counter". The store has an ample supply of housewares, clothing and videos. Any future donations I make will go to a store with congenial staff.

After enjoying coffee and a breakfast sandwich down the street at the 'sister' coffee house – both are nonprofit outreaches of the Grace Community Church, I stopped into this Thrift Shop in search of Bread Bakeware. It was my first visit to Lansford, and I really liked what they were doing here.

The shop was well organized – the staff friendly and helpful. In short order I had found just what I needed : An old ceramic crock-pot bottom and a lid that fit from the mismatched box of lids.

Grand Total : only $5 !

Attached is a photo of my purchases as well as the bread I baked in it. Both very good ! I am happy all around and recommend this thrift shop. [ If interested, search YouTube for “ No Knead Bread “ - Steve will take good care of you. ] Peace, harmony and good will to all.

After having gone to this store dozens of times, supporting their organization, and even having donated loads of items to them, I had to edit my previous 5-star review. They lose a star for rudeness and lack of common sense. While I love their organization (religious, but overtly) and their community contributions, I did not enjoy the man who confronted me and told me that my 2yr old was not allowed to touch toys and he needs to put it back now. The manner in which he told me off was embarrassing, infuriating, and rude. Mind you, my little guy was at my side the ENTIRE time, we made NO messes, and he was pushing ONE toy we were considering purchasing. If you sell toys in your shop, what on Earth do you expect? For a Christian organization, I expected better.
I did end up speaking to the manager about this. She was kind and easy to talk to. Again, I love what this group is doing to tidy up Lansford, I just did not enjoy being treated like my child was a menace. If you don't want kids to touch toys, don't sell toys. And if they DO make a mess, well that's kind of your job isn't it?

While waiting several minutes for the cashier to come to the front, my wife called me to the jackets about 12ft away. Once the cashier got to the front, he was very rude about several books a placed on the counter. Stating that I may only place items there once ready to check out. There was only one other customer in the entire store at the time. I was looking at some of the most expensive jackets there and almost left me entire purchase there over how nasty he was about it. I went forward and completed my purchase, only to be given bags that were clearly torn and burst as soon as picked up by the handles. Even though there was a pile more of plastic bags right behind him. Clean store but some staff could use some better manners or lessons in customer service...

Rude staff. Your attitude really needs to change. And you represent the the church? I would be embarrassed. And the items that are donated are FREE. I would not be picky about what people DONATE.
