Absolutely fantastic experience working with Jim when purchasing both of my EVILs. I drove all the way from the greater Washington DC area on three separate occasions, if that says anything. His attention to detail and dedication to his customers is unmatched. The first time I came out, I spent about 5 hours trying out bikes. He happily answered all of my questions, and made on-the-fly modifications to the bikes as I put them through their paces... Including swapping a fork out. When Jim had a frame/fork available for a custom build out, I jumped at the chance. Once again, he patiently answered all of my questions, went through the seemingly countless available options, and sent me pictures when requested. I can't stop smiling at my new bike! I am so pleased with my entire experience working with The Bike Lab, and highly recommend it.

I was searching for a bike online and stumbled upon Go Bike by Volectric, which was available through The Bike Lab. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the bike in stock. However, the owner found it online, inspected it, and deemed it a good value for the price. So, I decided to get two bikes: one for me and one for my adult son. They even delivered the bikes until I had a bike rack installed.

So far, so good. But then, one of the bikes had a failure after just two days. The display and controller both needed to be replaced, which took about five days. I rode the affected bike for a few days and experienced the same issue again. I was quite disappointed.

Despite this setback, I was impressed with the Bike Lab’s customer service. I didn’t want to return the same bike, so I suggested getting the next bike and paying the difference. The owner worked closely with the company, and I received the new bike the same day.

The Velotric Discover 2 bike is fantastic! The Bike Lab staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I haven’t encountered any issues since then. In fact, I even got my bike rack there, so I’m eager to see how this bike fares in the future, especially in terms of customer service.

As someone who works in tech support, I expect exceptional customer service, and the Bike Lab consistently delivers. They turned a potentially frustrating situation into a positive experience.

We really are enjoying our first ebikes. The staff at the Bikelab are friendly and very knowledgeable. Great advice on the bike rack which has a ramp so bikes can be rolled up onto the rack instead of having to lift them

Out of all the bike shops I've been to, this one has been the best. Super personal experience with the owner which made the entire experience worthwhile. Not only is the premise of the store beyond creative with the marketing around their dogs, the store has a great environment, very clean and nice inside. The owners showed a great amount of respect and care for their customers. If biking is something you're interested in, stopping into the Bike Lab is 100% worth it.

I came here based on the reviews and I’m so happy I did! I purchased a bike online and tried to assemble it.. it did not go well. The Bike Lab was so friendly and efficient and got me my bike all ready to go by the next day. They didn’t make fun of my attempt at all which made me feel at ease. The young gentleman even helped walk my bike to my car after and get it in there, nice touch! The cutest dog Oscar is also on the premise 🙂

I’ll definitely be recommending them to others and coming back for future maintenance and service!

Ian was fantastic when it came to helping my fiancé and I find the perfect bikes! The service was great, and who doesn’t love a shop that has a dog inside that you can pet throughout the visit? I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking into buying a bike!

I would have written this review sooner, but I was too busy riding my bike! So glad I found The Bike Lab! They worked with me to get a bike that wasn’t normally stocked & took the time to answer my questions & compare/contrast bikes so I felt confident in my purchase. 10/10 recommend!
