On our three week Alaskan adventure (September 2024), we were looking for one special Alaskan crafted keepsake for ourselves. In Skagway, The Loom had many unique, one of a kind, leather and fur products - rugs, table runners, bags, jackets, pillow cases, etc. Their products are made locally in Skagway and the surrounding area. The craftsmanship is impeccable. After looking at The Loom products, we knew we wanted to buy our keepsake from The Loom but it was hard to decide on what to exactly buy. We finally decided to purchase a beautiful table runner made of a variety of animal hides. Since we did not have a lot of extra room in our suitcase, The Loom offered to ship it. They did just as they promised - they shipped it to our home and it arrived a few days after we got home. It looks beautiful on our table! I highly recommend stopping at The Loom to check out their products, particularly if you want an Alaskan handcrafted keepsake. I am glad we splurged, and bought this table runner. It will be a cherished keepsake from Alaska.

Stopped in since we were in the neighborhood. Wide selection of leather goods as well. No purchases that day but found the staff to be very welcoming and knowledgeable. No high pressure tactics, just good information. Kudos to Errol and Sahara.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. They DO NOT stand by their products or reapond when contacted about issues with their product. Their only deaire is to fleece you into spending money on items that will not hold up as described by their sales associates. We were here in June of 2022 and bought a bedspread set. After the second wash one of the pillow cases was damaged. They have been contacted multiple times and have not bothered to respond.

I bought a purse from here a year and a half ago and it was amazing for the first two months until it broke. I wrote a review and the service was amazing! They wrote back fixed the problem! I couldn’t be happier! Love the Loom Alaska!

The goods in this shop are interesting and unique but they are not, contrary to what we were bold-facedly told by the sales person, hand made in Alaska. (the shoes are not, the synthetic bedspreads are not, possibly the purses are but probably not). Don't be fooled.

We purchased a 6x9 rug and in a year it started losing hair in spots
We called and they said they would take care of it but things were not being done because of covid .2 years later still can't reach them and no help.
