UPDATE: My husband and I have eaten here several times since posting my previous review and the last two times have been disappointing. One of us would end up with very little ground meat with overloaded lettuce. So tonight, we decided to try again, this time we both had very little ground meat and we both had several hard chunks of grayish meat that resembled nothing like ground meat. After working long hours this week, we just wanted a good taco salad, like we had when we first started going to this business. My husband & I both agreed, we will not be back. Very disappointed we waisted $22 dollars yet we didn’t enjoy our meal, as most went in the trash!
As you can tell from the second picture, the real ground meat is on the left, what the hard grayish meat is on the right or between my fingers, I have no idea!

My husband & I have eaten there a few times and the food is delicious! The cakes & bake goods are fantastic & the staff is very friendly! We will be going back soon!

What an amazing find! I grew up eating Po Boys and this cozy restaurant doesn’t disappoint!
Inside is immaculate and beautifully decorated. Outside is clean and ready the seating is well lit. Staff are super friendly and attentive.
And the sandwich….OMG! Delicious and done to perfection. Veggies are fresh and the bread is crisp and chewy like it would be. If I could give 6 stars I would!
Go by next time you’re in Port Allen. Or make a trip. You won’t be disappointed!!

I ordered a fried shrimp poboy with onion rings. It was the worst poboy that I can remember having eaten. The shrimp were small, too salty, and over cooked. The onion rings were obviously frozen and one was cold in the middle despite being overcooked. I was so frustrated that I drove immediately to Court Street Cafe--right around the corner and I ordered a fried shrimp poboy to compare.
The difference was astounding! The presentation---even though it was a to-go order-was great. The shrimp were much larger and cooked perfectly. I called Court Street Cafe and let them know how much better their poboy was compared to The Poboy House. I'm not sure that I will be back there.
As a side note, my coworker had a pot roast poboy from The Poboy House and it much much better. Maybe I picked the wrong menu item, but I figured all of their poboys would be good.

This was my first Po Boy sandwich. Was driving through from San Diego Ca to Florida and found this spot on google. If you ever want to enjoy a great place with a good vibe and well above customer service this is the place. Oh yeah they have amazing deserts and bake their own bread rolls.

hadn’t been here in a couple of years decided to try it out on 12/17/24. Things have really changed had a beef sandwich. The roast beef was not hot,the bread was soggy ( They used to use fresh French bread ) did not taste well there was no seasoning to the meat .I don’t know what type of bread this was but it was not good .I will not be back
