My family and I had an opportunity to check out the Thirsty Axe this past weekend.
What a good idea!
The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming.
They have pool tables, axe throwing booths, lounge areas, music, live music + comedy sometimes, beer, sandwiches and snacks. You can also book the place for private events.
Great place to hang out with family and friends, work groups and associates.

Thank you for the hospitality!

Went for their first game—pool is free with the purchase of a drink, and it was an amazing time! The atmosphere was great, with multiple pool tables to choose from. The drinks were just okay, but overall, it was a fun experience.

I’ve given this place too many opportunities to let me down (4). Each time, has been a worse experience than the last and now, I’m not only never going back, I’m going to actively steer friends away from going.

Actually feeling very generous by giving 2 stars because it’s like the one alternative activity place we have in town, and my first time there was for a concert which was a blast (if you weren’t waiting in the 20+ min line for drinks.)

There’s a digital display for the food and drinks, but I’ve never actually gotten my first choice of food or drink because they are ALWAYS out.
They need to remove them from the display if they’re out. Or find a better POS that can work with the menu.

My last and final experience (Jan ‘25) they were out of both beers I tried to order, then our group ordered their Totchos and out come some cold soggy fries. When I went to see why we didn’t get tater tots as the base of our TOTchos, The response was “oh we ran out of tater tots so we put them on fries”. Only after they were paid for of course.

The trivia MC started only 20 minutes later than they state on their fb page. Milk that Pliny because you’re in for a long night.

If you go, please keep your expectations low.

I know it's a problem everywhere but this place was very short on employees for a Sat. music night. The line for service extended right in front of the band for the first 5 songs. When I asked management about it instead of moving the line he said it will die down. Yeah, 35 minutes later. There was a line at the bar all night with no organization whatsoever. It took 20 minutes or more to get drinks. They need to have table service. It's not the employees fault. They were working so hard for hours but management needs to figure out how to service people more efficiently. Also the waiver process on line for axe throwing was ridiculous. It kept dumping people off and took forever to complete. We gave up on that too.

We rented 2 axe throwing courts and spent hours drinking. Suddenly one of the waitresses didn't want to serve us anymore because we didn't have a physical passport. We showed it in a photo but she wouldn't accept it in any way and told us to leave or she would call the police. She treated us in a degrading and racist way because we weren't Americans. We couldn't finish the game with 30 minutes left. It's a disgraceful place, totally inadvisable. I put 1 star because i can’t put 0.

Ukiah definitely needed an awesome place like this!! The environment is instantly open and inviting... The live band was very very loud!!! They have an upstairs pool table with a view of the stage very clean n nice. We played pool for an hour but the cost was $10. In my opinion they need a waitress to pick up the dirty cups and wipe chairs and tables down... Only one bathroom.... It was a blast listening to everyone karaoke 🎤. Even a few younger kiddos got to enjoy the stage and sing their hearts out. The drinks are very expensive so leave a bottle or drink in your car.... 😂 Will definitely be going again!!!

The smores and jalapeno popper grilled cheese are legit. The axe throwing is way more fun and has more games due to the projectors compared to other axe throwing bars. The beer and alcohol selection offers a variety of options for the descerning and rugged palates. The pool tables have been releveled and refelted downstairs and are the best in town.
