It's old and dated but very clean. Loved being able to walk out the sliders and be in the yard oceanfront. My opinion is that with the amount of money taken in, they should be able to update and renovate to make this an excellent place! And please...get the high profile commodes.

Love this place. A very laid back, beachy vibe 50 feet from the ocean. Do not expect 5 star luxury, this is not the place for you then.|| But if you like all the comforts of home while having the Atlantic ocean sprawled out in front of you for a reasonable price, this is the place.||Improvements and updates are ongoing and the staff are amazingly accommodating.Heated indoor pool and spa, charcoal BBQ, picnic area, grassy knoll, beach within 50 feet. What more can you ask for out of a vacation spot.||Lots of things in the area to explore, lots of beautiful views.||Been coming on and off for 20 years. Invested in time share for 2 week a year, about 4 years ago. I suggest you rent for a time or two then consider becoming an owner. Can always swap through interval.||I almost don't want to leave this review because the secret will be out and it is our little oasis.||

First came here several times in the early 1990s and made lasting memories. 30 years later I’m fortunate to appreciate the Whaler with my own family. This place is a treasure - peaceful and clean amenities, beautiful oceanfront setting, indoor pool.

Been going to Whaler Inn for about 15 years. William,Cathy,and Sherry are wonderful people. Room is always ready and clean. Would never go anywhere else. Always stay in an ocean view effeincy, have never been disappointed!

It's absolutely amazing. Simple yet, having such an old building with a much closer setback than the rest of the buildings on the beach makes this place awesome. The grass lawn is unique, to say the least. It's just fantastic.

Ive been going to this hotel for three years as a thanksgiving tradition and I love it! The rooms are quite nice and meet all your needs for the price. Now the only bad thing about the rooms are the bugs. Its not bad at all you might see one or two per trip, but they're native to the water. Plus they dont pose a threat and are uncommon. The service is five stars becsuse they dont do room service but in the office they have a ton of different cooking and beach needs. The location is phenoumnenal. I mean, what other hotels can you go to for the same price and have it be a two minute walk from shore. Anyways, if your going to go to Alantic beach, its a must stop.

Great week at the Whaler as always! Staff are friendly and helpful! Rooms are clean with everything you need! Beautiful oceanfront setting with picnic tables and grills (we take our Blackstone and cook oceanfront). Normans is great for fresh, local shrimp! Highly recommend for either a stay or as a timeshare option- There timeshare weeks are a great value! Can't wait until our next trip!

It is all about the ocean view. This resort is one of the closest you can get to the ocean on the long beach front. The place is priced right and it is a great value for the price. They are constantly updating this older resort as revenue allows. It is, therefore, clean, quiet and completely furnished. The bathrooms are basic and clean. The living area and bedrooms are updated. We had 5 people using a 2 bedroom and it met our needs with plenty of space. The balcony is wide and awesome, accommodating everyone with plenty of seating.
