Cute spot for tasty boozy ice cream!! I've seen Tipsy Scoop catered at a few events before, but this was my first time stepping into their brick-and-mortar store. It was a small, but super vibrant and cozy space. There's a ton of colorful and fun decor, and the owner / staff are all super friendly! They let us try a couple of flavors (in fact, they encouraged us to try flavors before we ordered, which I really appreciated), and we eventually settled on their strawberry sorbet. There's a decent alcohol content, and I was impressed that the alcohol didn't alter the texture of the ice cream / sorbets much. They also did a great job making sure that you could taste the alcohol, but not overly so -- each scoop was tasty and balanced.

It's, admittedly, a little bit pricey at ~$8.50 per scoop. However, considering that there's alcohol in the ice cream, it's not an outrageous price. I think it's a great spot if you want to try something new / quirky / Instagrammable, but Tipsy Scoop probably won't be my go-to for just ice cream or for just a drink.

I always wanted to try alcohol infused ice cream and now that I have, I should have done it before because it is fenomenal! Its hard to describe the strawberry white sangria but it was so good and the creaminess of the other which I don’t even remember what flavor was it but it was 10/10. Service was also great, thanks to the guy at the counter for being so patient with me.

The best part was that I could eat it outdoors and didn’t have to worry about getting arrested 😂

I saw this spot when I was browsing yelp and thought I would check it out. Following dinner my niece and I walked to this spot.

Note: it’s a small space! There is limited seating inside. They offer pints that you can purchase to take home. Additionally, they offer scoops for purchase to enjoy on site. We were offered an opportunity to try flavors prior to purchase. ( it appears they ID everyone- so don’t forget your drivers license!)

I tried the Christmas special, it was underwhelming. My niece tried the cake batter flavor and opted to purchase a scoop. I tried that flavor- again, not impressed. The ice cream lacks flavor. For me, it’s not worth the calories, the staff did advise that the alcohol content is 5%- just in case you were wondering.

For me, it’s a no and never again. However, I strongly encourage everyone to try things for themselves. Your taste buds may differ from mine!

I never knew they had alcohol infused ice cream. I found it cool and refreshing. The location is very nice and close to China town and also capital one arena. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit there.

The ice cream tastes fantastic but you just don’t taste or feel the alcohol at all. It’s maybe like having a quarter of a beer at most? I would definitely come here for the novelty and to have some good ice cream rather than to get buzzed.

I absolutely love Tipsy Scoop DC! First and foremost, I feel so loved when I walk in there! The staff is so sweet! And the owner is just a GEM! Customer service made me return over and over again. Second, the flavors and just how good the ice cream is OMGGGGG! I cannot get enough of the flights!! I’m a chocolate lover so imagine my surprise when the Cherry Blossom scoop had me rethinking my favorite flavor! I recently tried the new Tequila Lovers flight and the Tequila Mexican Hot Chocolate was a winner, it did not disappoint. I can’t wait to see what new flavors The Scoop rolls out for the summer time! Do yourself a favor and get down there you won’t be disappointed at all!

The boozy ice cream is a bit fun, but I thought our ice cream was also really high quality. I would go again just for a scoop of the Cherry Blossom. This place offers ice cream cocktails and sundays as well, but are on the pricier side (which I think is understandable…it’s dessert and a drink wrapped into one). It would benefit from more seating though.

The service was very welcoming the owner was a sweet woman and I appreciate her service she was absolutely willing to make sure that everyone that had come to an establishment for her opening were treated with the absolute most respect and service going so far as to work the line herself! Big love for the city. Watch out for that happy hour you can get really tipsy. The Establishment also out offers alcoholic beverages for purchase separately from the ice cream this will be a very important spot for bar-goers looking to enjoy ice cream, fun good smells and a welcoming staff. Looking forward to another tipsy cherry blossom scoop it was great!
