I drive a hybrid with a small trunk and dont have a spare tire, i work in the State College area a lot and have had a couple of emergency tire issues and the folks at Tire Town were so great in helping me out, being honest about the various tire choices and prices, etc. I’ve also bought tires there in s non emergency situation and the prices and service were exceptional. The owner is a heckuva nice guy as are the staff. Great job and business!

Good place for tire work. Cheap and fast if you have a flat. I paid $35 for them to fix it in 30 minutes. I wouldn’t take my car here if it’s something else besides tires and simple maintenance though.

Our family was a customer for 30 years. We very much appreciated their prompt scheduling, accurate diagnoses, suggested, economic solutions, and great service. We put many miles on Tiretown tires traveling back and forth to school, church, sporting events, Stone Valley, Whipple's, Spring Creek, and so on. After raising our kids in State College, we moved to a warmer climate for retirement. Three decades of consistent and exceptional service is a remarkable achievement. We sure do miss JR and the team at Tiretown. Happy Valley is lucky to have Tiretown. Thank you.

Although Tire Town provides a friendly and professional atmosphere at the front desk and in their waiting room, I would highly recommend not bringing a vehicle there unless it was just for routine maintenance or new tires. I brought two of my vehicles there in December, one was a Chevy Express that needed the brakes looked at and the other was a Ford Econoline that was making a chatter and squeak. Tire Town diagnosed and repaired the Chevy Express as needing a new brake line. However, when I came to pick it up, the brakes still weren’t working well. I brought it back and they told me they needed to bleed the brakes. I would’ve imagined that they would test driven the van prior to giving it back to me… Not to mention the fact that I’m a quadriplegic and I drive with hand controls. Stopping a full size van with brakes that aren’t working correctly is pretty dangerous. They bleed the brakes now everything works fine. As for the Ford Econoline, they diagnosed the noise as coming from the serpentine belt and tensioner. I paid $380 to have them replaced per their recommendation. However, when I went to pick up the van, it made the same exact noise. Chatter and squeaking. They brought the van back to look at it again, then gave me a call with bad news… They now diagnosed that the rod bearings were going bad and this was an internal engine problem. Their new recommendation was I should trade the van in as soon as I could because it would need the entire engine taken out to replace or repair. Terrible news right before the Christmas holiday! Instead, I brought the van to a second garage, C and G Auto Repair in Bellefonte. It turned out that the alternator was causing the noise. C and G was thorough with diagnosing the problem and fix the issue for $411. I don’t quite understand how Tire Town had come to their conclusions, but I'm glad that I went elsewhere.

Had an unscheduled flat tire, when I stopped by, they quickly fixed it, even though they seemed pretty busy, the price was fair, and as I sat waiting, I noticed they had a lot of regular customers coming in...solid community business, will come back for sure!
