Ed and Jon at the Trading Post Rustic Live Edge Table Depot brought my vision to life with how I wanted the bar top counter to look in my kitchen! They took the time to help me decide on what type of wood and into all the details on the design to make my bar countertop a showpiece! They really care about the customer and make sure you are happy with their beautiful custom work! As I know custom pieces take some time to create, I felt that they worked hard to get it to me in the desired time! I also was happy with the stools they crafted for me. Jon recommended the matching black legs, and I fell in love with the complete look. Quick and easy install! My kids are already enjoying the bar top eating and doing homework!!! Thanks again guys for caring about your customer as much as you care about your creations!!!!

We have used Trading Post twice for custom tables. Recently, I picked out my wood cut for a coffee table. Ed was very good about explaining how it could be finished, down to rounding out the edges to make the straight cut side look like a natural edge. The piece was completed in less than 8 weeks and looks amazing, and was a very fair price. This is the second time we’ve been beyond impressed with their work.

Ed was a class act in helping my wife and I commission a sugar maple tree dining room table. It was a pleasure working with him and his father. I highly recommend the Trading Post Depot to anyone who wants an outstanding piece of furniture. Everybody who comes to my house always point out the table and it has really become a show piece. It looks like the picture.

I cannot stress enough how infuriated I am with this company and how they treated my mom.

My mom ordered a live edge wood countertop in mid MAY, and they gave her a delivery date of the end of JUNE. She sent in accurate dimensions of her countertop to make sure the piece would fit. However, by the Fourth of July and hearing basically no word from them, my mom kept having to call to get an update from them, until finally in mid JULY, they brought the piece over to be installed, only to have it not fit because they didn’t measure the piece using my mom’s correct dimensions. They offered to fix it by adding another piece of wood/resin for no extra cost or remake the piece, and said they would “make it a priority”. Well, their definition of “priority” is not giving any updates, leaving my mom confused and unanswered about what is happening to her countertop for weeks at a time, and then finally when pushed to the breaking point of it being SEPTEMBER and practically no word other than “we’re working on it”, and “we’re backed up”, etc., Mr. Ed decided to BLAME MY MOM for their errors, stating it was “her fault for picking the wrong size wood”, even though SHE GAVE HIM THE CORRECT DIMENSIONS AND THERE IS PHOTO PROOF, and then said “she should answer the phone when he calls and talk like humans”. A crazy request from him since one: he NEVER answered when she called or texted, and would leave her unanswered for weeks and then respond with excuses, and two: when he would call, it would be during the middle of the day when my mom works at school! This is also AFTER he said over a text “Just name the time and it will be delivered”, and my mom said to come this past Tuesday at 4pm. They decided NOT to show up, WITH NO WORD, and then after my mom had to call at 4:30 wondering where they were, he yelled at her, literally raising his voice, for expecting him to come at 4. They finally delivered it on Thursday night, both him and John very disrespectful to her, and almost left it uninstalled.

The piece is beautiful, however there are still errors that show it was clearly rushed at the end, such as bubbles and stain drips, as well as it is scratching at the lightest of weight being on it, like dishes. This would not be an issue, except for this FOUR THOUSAND DOLLAR piece was supposed to be done at the end of June, and the delivery date was September 5th. Even the late delivery would have possibly been okay, but the lack of communication, and then the utter disrespect toward my mom at the end is point blank inexcusable. Their excuse for being jerks was that my mom left them angry voicemails- well buddies, she was pushed to the breaking point by y'all due to your inability to simply update her and give her a realistic timeline. Shame on you both, and I will NEVER, EVER, recommend this place to anyone.

In the short time I've worked with Ed, Joe, John and Sandy, I have been so impressed. The way they interact with and respond to customers is simply outstanding. I feel like I'm the most important customer each time I see them, and that is "old school" special. The work they do is beyond compare. If you get a chance, stop in and prepare to be impressed.
