As a beginner I was so looking forward to having a local shop I could go to for my current and future projects. However, I was really let down by the unwelcoming, rude, cold reception by Ann -- her assistant was friendly enough. I had a project that I had some questions about, and Ann made it clear that she was not willing to give advice "for free"; I've never experienced this in any other specialized craft shop I've patronized and spent money in. Ann seemed to think that giving advice and selling merchandise are mutually exclusive. Given the opportunity, I would have made a purchase based on Ann's advice, but she was unwilling to give me the time for that. I will not be returning; I came here in earnest and good faith and was genuinely shocked by the way I was treated.
