Decent selection, prices as expected
for the area. Service and quality of work is not good. Bought an e-bike from here so would bring it in for service. Bike would always have more issues after getting serviced. There are better shops who do higher quality work and won’t just claim to be swamped to compensate for poor communication and low quality work. Most recently was told several times bike would only take a few days to be done when in reality it took 3-4 weeks to get back with only half the work finished. No one seemed to care, shop must be doing pretty well, I’ll take my business elsewhere. Nice enough people but mechanic needs some more qualified help.

Best bike shop I’ve been to in Marin (or anywhere really). I’ve bought three bikes here and they are excellent. They have a nice selection of mountain bikes- Santa Cruz, specialized and Marin.
Recently I had a couple mechanical issues with one of my bikes after riding it hard for months, and Johnny showed me what was going on and fixed it up gratis. I’m glad i bought from a local shop instead of consumer direct.
I can do basic maintenance but it’s nice to have a skilled mechanic to take it to and know you aren’t going to be overcharged and they know what they are doing.

Outstanding shop with great service. Like many, I’ve struggled to find a bike during the pandemic and was after a 56 Diverge. Steve at the Village Peddler went out of his way to help source the frame and components individually and created a build at a very competitive price. I’ll also add that the build quality was better than what I’ve received from Specialized factory builds in the past. The team obviously put a lot of care and attention into the work they do, and it shows. I’ll also say the service is second to none, I’m a really fussy customer and nothing was too much for Steve to deal with. I must have sent him a hundred emails and he continued to be patient and really helpful throughout. If you’re thinking of a custom build or serious mods/repair work, I wouldn’t have any doubts about trusting Steve and his team. I couldn’t recommend enough. I also love that they never once asked for a review, which made me feel even more compelled to write one. A great bike shop!

I've purchased 3 bikes from Village and in my opinion this is the best shop around. There are plenty of options in Marin but this team is knowledgeable and they take great care of their customers. Austin and Danny are a couple the best mechanics I've worked with. There have been several instances where they have talked me out service ($) that I thought I needed.

Great service, supper friendly. Got my bike taken care of super quick. Would highly recommend this shop. Great bike machanic working when I went in on 6/20 around 11am,he took care of my bike quickly and ran the show he was leading the team helping the newer employees. The machanic made the day and made the shop a great place to go

Great selection of bikes in the heart of mountain biking. Austin is awesome. Custom ordered me a bike on Monday and he had it assembled and ready on Wednesday. Cool dude, very knowledgeable and a great mechanic. I got a hardtail Specialized this time but I will be back for a full suspension Santa Cruz!
