Seth was so helpful! He went the extra mile looking for my size in a style I wanted when it wasn’t on the shelf but inventory showed that there were two pairs! He found them! I love the selection of shoes and the sock selection is so fun! I got dill pickle themed ones! And you can’t beat the actual personal help. As a former shoe store manager, I especially love this service!

Was introduced to. the Hertjes brand and absolutely love the shoes. I had a pair last year and picked up a new pair. Used them in Vegas and never got a blister. No working them in. Comfortable right from the start!

I bought several pairs of shoes early last summer from Waxberg's. One pair of Merrill boots was included. Since it was summer I really didn't wear them much but when I did for maybe the second or third time the right boot began to come apart from the joint at the toes where they meet with the uppers. They actually ripped about 2 inches.
I brought them back and several staff told me they wouldn't make a return since too much time had passed. The manager wasn't there but they did accept the return and cautioned that there would probably be no replacement.
After a period of weeks I got a call that the boots were ok'd for replacement. I immediately went and they suggested another pair of similar Merrill's. These were not the same boots, shorter in height by a few inches but otherwise similar and I agreed due to the fact they didn't have the others. Then they charged me ~$25 for the exchange. I paid but feel as though I was snookered. I have bought several (at least 10) pairs of shoes there over the years but they lost my confidence with that charge.
I feel that Waxberg's did not stand behind the original sale in spite of the fact that the manufacturer agreed to the replacement.
Further, they lost my confidence that they are concerned with my satisfaction.
I'm done with Waxberg's and rather disappointed though the boots are my favorite outdoor wear.

Addendum to the above:
I spoke with Jane, the new manager, and she resolved this issue. I received a check for the amount in question. She explained that the amount charged was because of a error on the original purchase. I had purchased several pair of shoes originally and they looked at the wrong item for the replacement. I did not have to return and they promptly returned the amount in question. Customer service as it should be.

Had a great experience with Mike my expert shoe fitter and salesman. I needed a pair of wide two dress shoes. He found 3, I picked one that felt best and he even recommended some really nice support socks. I would go back

I looked forward to my first visit to a "real" shoe store in quite a while. This was my first experience with Waxberg's. I found a pair of Dunham waterproof shoes that fit me perfectly and am very happy with them, so far. The salesman, Lou, asked if I wanted to try on his favorite New Balance athletic shoes. I saw that they are the exact same as my previous 4 pairs of the athletic shoes. I asked for a size 8.5, 4E. Lou went in the back and said they were the only 8.5 4E and they don't get many of this size. I tried them on quickly in the store and they seemed okay, but I only had them on for a few minutes. When I wore them for the first time a few days later, they started to hurt my feet after about a hour. When I got back home I realized that Lou lied to me and gave me a 8.5 2E instead of 4E. Of course, I had already thrown the box away. When I called the store to complain I was told that without the box there was nothing they could do.
