Another Laytonville business that will go under soon. It’s amazing to me how these businesses don’t grasp how to stay afloat by simply taking care of the community with the things they need, which would ensure those same people come for casual stuff even if it costs a little more. They really tax on everything here despite the hard economic times for the people they’re trying to provide things for. They wouldn’t get in the organic compost I use, which made me inevitably have to get it elsewhere. Which made me get all of my amendments elsewhere. Then they tax over 100$ more than any other store in Mendo for tarps. Then they tax over 100$ more than any other store in Mendo for fertilizer. Now I just drive all the way to Willits for anything because they have made it clear that the customer doesn’t matter

LOVE IT. Big savings for a small local nursery that really COULD overcharge, if they were so inclined. They are dedicated to supporting gardening in the most eco-friendly, organic means possible. Every single employee is very friendly and informative. I feel comfortable taking all my newbie issues to them...knowing the overwhelming support and information I will receive.

This nursery has been in business for 40 years, and I hope for many more. In a small town it's amazing that they can keep their prices so low. The service is excellent. If you have a problem on anything from tomatoes to cannabis, they are there to help.
In the spring they have tons of bare root trees and berries, as well as lots of starts for your garden.
These guys have every single ammendment, fertilizer, and soil product you can imagine.
