Really cool place ? they had an array of really nice clothes... this is definitely a place for quality merchandise and has one of a Kind Kansas stuff. I really enjoyed the clothes and the really cool home goods they have. I got some really great one of a Kind stuff from here and I would absolutely recommend it...

I went in to find a cover for a formal dress and the store clerk was very helpful. They had a nice selection of formal dresses, which impressed me. I love that this is a local and historic store. Makes me want to shop here more.

My 90 year old mother wanted to look here for some new pants and blouses. She likes quality but is also frugal. Many of the lovely blouses were more than she wanted to pay, but she found two she liked very much (and they look great on her!). Pants do not fit her shape well, but she tried on MANY and settled on two. She was very happy with her purchases. (I also snagged a cute pair of pants.)

The dressing room carpet was dusty and needed a good cleaning - we saw two caterpillars on the floor by the mirror that turned out to be someone's eyelashes...

The store clerks who helped us were pleasant and very patient, and steered us in the right directions. This made me happy because the older woman who "helped" me the last time I was here 18 months ago to purchase a special-occasion dress was snooty and dismissive of me (she even made a derogatory remark to the other clerk when she apparently thought I was not within earshot; wish I'd reported it at the time. Please don't pre-judge folks; treat everyone with kindness.) I only came back because my mother wanted to shop here, and I'm grateful it went well this time.

This extraordinary department store is our go to for all clothing, shoes, etc. Personalized and attentive service. We went to purchase a pair of dress shoes for hubby. The young man who helped us was knowledgeable and courteous. Walked out with a great pair of wing tips! So grateful for this store!

Enjoyable experience, coming in from out of town, reminding me of when I tagged along with mom shopping downtown in 50s and 60s. Nice selection of high-quality goods, helpful folks, and a quiet refuge from Main St. I especially liked the housewares department and the pendleton offerings.
