The lady there super rude seems to have a miserable life takes it out on all the customers the owner and you gentleman working there very nice but her she needs to have respect for Santa Barbara customers.

I have been walking here from my house in the neighborhood since I could walk; Westside Market has been a staple of the westside for decades. IMPORTANT INFO: THIS is THE only place to buy lighter fluid/butane in I think all of Santa Barbara after 9pm (til midnight!)
PS fun fact: Elias used to own this market; he's the best! Now he owns the smoke shop on De La Vina and Mission called Paradise Smoke Shop; pop on over there for all your tobacco and head change needs 😁 He and his son run an awesome shop! Cheers!

ZERO business for them...
I guess they want less business? A person with a medical condition was rudely rejected a store purchase by the very disrespectful, rude man working there. He demanded the person to “buy a mask or wear a mask” ... what is the point of that? A customer would be in the store just as long to buy a mask as it would to make their original desired purchase (a non-alcoholic item). Shameful.

Westside excels at beer selection and those little sample-size bottles of liquor, but not much else. Inside, the place feels cramped and depressing somehow. Counter qervice is friendly and sometimes colorful.
