Wouldn’t have expected much from such a small town, but this was seriously the best breakfast I’ve had in quite a while! I got the country scramble. The sweetness of the caramelized onions and crispiness of the hash browns balanced beautifully with the savory sausage and peppers. The homemade biscuit was delicious too! I ate a little more than half and saved the rest for dinner. My husband had the country fried steak and said it was also good. Service was lovely too. Would definitely return!

We love Mccloud and decided to take a chance at breakfast at the White Mountain Cafe. Oh Boy! The gravy, the gravy the gravy!!!!!!!! the hand breaded and in house chicken fried steak and chicken tender, hand cut fries, homemade biscuits, What a treat. This is my new “go to” breakfast place.

We were there on a fairly hot July day (after going to the McCloud River Middle falls, highly recommend). We were looking for a quiet, comfortable, inviting place to eat. So so glad that we stopped in here! The service was absolutely excellent! That small town kind of friendly way that isn't easily found these days. The food was really good. Especially the house made pulled pork sandwich, mmmm! Even the "basic" burger was sooo delicious, old school style, not commercial, if you know what I mean. ....and the real, fresh made onion rings are fabulous!
We're looking forward to going back there to try other items on their menu.

This little classic dinner is something special, the best chicken fired steak I ever had and the gravey is 200 year old recipe everything is made from scratch. Anytime you are passing through stop by this place as you are exploring MT Shasta and Mcloud CA..

most of the food was great, but the fries and chicken strips were a little burnt and dry. everyone was hospitable and the atmosphere was relatively comfortable. wheelchair accessible for the most part, but not many vegetarian options and the menu does not specify what has gluten, lactose, ect in it.
